在2016中旬,Nvidia GeForce GTX 1070是第二快的Pascal基准显卡。它有两个版本,包括1920个着色器的桌面版本(详细信息请参阅这里)以及2048个着色器和更低时钟频率的移动版本。这两款显卡均基于削减后的GP104芯片(如GTX 1080),采用台积电16纳米级FinFET工艺制造。

与GTX1080相比,GTX1070具有更少的CUDA内核(2048与2560),时钟频率稍低(最大的Boost1645和1733)。GTX 1070采用较慢的GDDR5图形内存,而不是新的GDDR5X,但仍是8GB。热设计功耗也降低了,据传比前一代GTX 980M高了10瓦。

对于轻薄型笔记本电脑,Nvidia为轻薄型笔记本电脑提供了一款名为GTX 1070的Max-Q版本,其热设计功耗较低,性能也低。可惜的是,这个变化便随着相同的命名————GTX 1070,很难从表面上看出来它的性能。

它的性能取决于笔记本电脑的散热方式。如果有了一个良好的风扇系统,笔记本电脑的性能将能与桌面级GTX 1070(公版)相当。Nvidia声称合作伙伴解决方案版本的性能可能会降低10%。在我们的各种笔记本电脑的基准测试中,与GTX 1080桌面版本的合作伙伴型号相比,其性能降低了5%到14%,时钟频率稍微更高一些。

平均来说,GTX 1070比旧款移动版GeForce GTX 980快了20%左右,因此也是第二快的移动显卡(非SLI)。因此,WQHD和4K游戏能够在高设置下运行(请参阅下面的游戏基准)。

GP104芯片采用台积电16纳米FinFET工艺制造,提供了一系列新功能。DisplayPort 1.4,HDMI 2.0b,HDR,同时多投影(对称多处理),改进的H.265视频编解码器(用于PlayReady 3.0)只是其中一部分改进。更多相关的详细信息,请参阅详细Pascal架构文章。

根据Nvidia的规定,GTX 1070的功耗是115瓦TGP,因此略高于旧款的GeForce GTX 980M。这导致配备GTX 1070显卡游戏笔记本电脑将会变得非常笨重。后来发布的GTX 1070的Max-Q版本仅使用80-90瓦TGP,因此更适合轻薄型笔记本电脑。
