AMD Ryzen 9 5900HX是一款基于塞尚一代的大型(游戏)笔记本电脑的处理器。R9 5900H集成了基于Zen 3微架构的所有八个核心。它们的时钟频率为3.3(保证基本时钟)至4.6 GHz(涡轮增压),支持SMT,共有16个线程。该芯片采用现代7纳米台积电工艺制造。名称中的 "X "表示该CPU的超频能力。

与Zen 2相比,新的Zen 3微架构提供了明显更高的IPC(每时钟指令)。对于台式机处理器,AMD声称平均提高了19%,在应用评测中,在相同的时钟速度下,显示出约12%的收益。

由于Zen 3提高了时钟速度和IPC改进,Ryzen 9 5900HX应该明显比低时钟的Ryzen 9 4900H快。

除了8个CPU核心外,APU还集成了Radeon RX Vega 8集成显卡,有8个CU,频率高达2100 MHz。双通道内存控制器支持DDR4-3200和节能的LPDDR4-4266内存。此外,在该芯片上可以找到16MB的三级缓存。

APU的TDP被指定为45瓦(默认),笔记本电脑供应商可以将其配置为35至54瓦。
