Intel Core i5-8257U

英特尔酷睿i5-8257U是基于Coffee Lake架构的笔记本电脑四核SoC,该处理器于2019年中期在新入门级MacBook Pro 13中发布。相比其前身,CPU现在是具有超线程功能的四核支持最多同时执行8个线程。基本频率仅为1.4 GHz,但Turbo达到3.9 GHz。它还配备了具有128 MB eDRAM的Intel Iris Plus Graphics 645 GPU,双通道内存控制器(DDR4)以及VP9和H.265视频解码以及编码。该芯片仍采用FinFET 14nm工艺制造。

与具有eDRAM和15瓦的更快Core i7-8557U型号相比,i5-8257U仅具有6 MB智能缓存和Iris Plus GPU的最低的频率。

架构

与Kaby Lake相比,英特尔基本上使用相同的微体系架构,因此每MHz性能没有差异。制造商仅对速度转换技术进行了重新设计,以实现电压和时钟的更快动态调整,而经过改进的14纳米工艺可提供更高的频率和更高的效率。

性能

多亏了相对较高的Turbo Boost频率,单线程性能应该非常好,但仍落后于速度更快的i7。与以前的双核版本相比,借助额外的内核,全核性能明显更好。在持续的工作负载中,性能通常受TDP和冷却的限制。在这些工作负载中,与Core i7的差异也更小。

图形

集成的英特尔Iris Plus 645图形芯片是Coffee Lake GPU(英特尔第9.5代)的GT3e版本。它具有48个以300-1050 MHz运行的执行单元,并且由于具有快速的eDRAM缓存,其性能可与GeForce 930M或940MX相媲美。但是,与旧的Iris Plus 650相比,没有任何重大改进,因此现代游戏通常无法流畅运行,或者只能分别在最低或中等设置下运行。

与Skylake不同,Kaby Lake现在还支持具有10位色深的H.265 / HEVC Main 10以及Google的VP9编解码器。一月份宣布的双核Kaby Lake处理器也应该支持HDCP 2.2。

该芯片采用FinFET改进的14nm ++工艺制造,从而进一步提高了效率。英特尔将TDP指定为15瓦,因此适合轻薄型笔记本电脑。
