Screen Flickering / PWM (Pulse-Width Modulation)

To dim the screen, some notebooks will simply cycle the backlight on and off in rapid succession - a method called Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) . This cycling frequency should ideally be undetectable to the human eye. If said frequency is too low, users with sensitive eyes may experience strain or headaches or even notice the flickering altogether.

The display backlight flickers at 357 Hz (Likely utilizing PWM) Flickering detected at a brightness setting of 80 % and below. There should be no flickering or PWM above this brightness setting.

The frequency of 357 Hz is relatively high, so most users sensitive to PWM should not notice any flickering. However, there are reports that some users are still sensitive to PWM at 500 Hz and above, so be aware.

In comparison: 53 % of all tested devices do not use PWM to dim the display. If PWM was detected, an average of 19590 (minimum: 5 - maximum: 3846000) Hz was measured.

处理器

安装的英特尔酷睿 i7-1280P是一个14核处理器,TDP为28瓦。令我们幸运的是,在联想Yoga Slim 9i中,它被允许长期消耗35瓦(PL1),在40秒内甚至可以消耗52瓦(PL2)。在智能冷却模式下,PL2甚至被设置为64瓦,但在这种情况下只能维持15秒。

这些设置可以实现令人满意的巨大效果。因此,CB R15在第一次运行时达到了2113分,这甚至超过了45瓦的强劲AMD Ryzen 9 5900HX中的 Yoga Slim 7 Pro (2021).另外, Ryzen 7 6800U被毫不费力地击败了。至于第四次运行,我们的酷睿i7的水平比AMD的5900HX-CPU低10%左右,而Yoga Slim 9i在CB R23中仍处于领先地位,打算长期负载。冷却系统可以处理更多,由类似的薄的 Slim 7i Pro 50瓦的长期冷却。然而,它没有配备14核CPU的SKU,这就是为什么它最终没有比我们的测试装置计算得更快。然而,如此高的功率限制意味着酷睿i7-1280P的性能结果主要不受限制。
