新的 M2 SoC是基于旧的M1芯片,采用改进的5纳米工艺(可能是台积电的N5P)制造。除了增加的晶体管数量(现在是200亿对160亿),支持8K和ProRes文件的新媒体引擎(也用于M1 Pro、M1 Max和M1 Ultra)以及更快的神经引擎,你现在得到了更强大的8或10核的GPU。从LPDDR4x到LPDDR5x内存的转换也使Apple ,将最大内存带宽从68.25GB/s提高到100GB/s,你现在可以得到高达24GB的统一内存。内存接口本身仍然是128位宽,而较大的M1 Pro芯片使用256位,M1 Max甚至使用512位接口。

基本的CPU配置也没有改变,你仍然得到总共8个核心,分为一个性能集群(4个核心)和一个效率集群(4个核心)。不过,最大时钟被提高了,效率核心现在达到了2.4GHz(以前是2.1GHz),而且还受益于更高的内存带宽。性能核心的最高时钟也达到了3.48GHz(以前是3.2GHz),但Apple ,也将其二级缓存从12MB增加到16MB。

我们不确定Apple ,集成显卡有什么变化。我们可以肯定的是,与旧的M1 GPU的1278 MHz相比,GPU核心(包括8核和10核版本)的时钟更高,达到1398 MHz。GPU也将从增加的内存带宽中受益,但我们注意到8核GPU的功耗并没有真正增加,所以必须有额外的改进。

单核的性能和效率

单核基准测试受益于更高的性能核心时钟,因为新的M2 SoC不仅比旧的M1快,而且比其他每一个M1变体,包括Pro,Max,甚至Ultra都快。它们都使用相同的性能核心,其时钟与我们从M1中了解到的相同,因此新的M2 MacBooks提供了目前Apple's组合中最好的单核性能。总而言之,优势在6%-8%之间,这取决于基准测试。

GPU性能和效率
