Omen系列的这台入门机型并没有搭配酷睿i7处理器,而“仅”提供了一颗酷睿 i5-6300HQ处理器。因此,消费者“仅”需要支付1300欧元(约9515人民币)的账单。不过,它搭载的这颗处理器对于大部分常见用途都能够提供充足的动力。6300HQ和GeForce GTX 1060显卡的组合可以在全高清分辨率下流畅运行目前绝大部分游戏,而用户可以使用高设定,一部分情况下甚至可以设定全开。英伟达的G-Sync技术为在75赫兹刷新率屏幕上流畅显示画面提供了支持。

SATA III固态硬盘为流畅的系统响应奠定了基础。不过在这方面它还有提升的空间。它的固态硬盘可以升级为更快的PCIe/NVMe接口硬盘。而用户也可以更换它的预装1TB硬盘。雾面的IPS屏幕提供了高亮度、高对比度和稳定的可视角度范围。

Omen 17 w100ng是惠普最新推出的一台均衡全面的入门级游戏机型。

不过这台Omen也并不完美:比如,惠普还应该在噪音控制上多下一些功夫。这台笔记本电脑的噪音有些高得离谱。它的散热系统更像是为酷睿i7-6700和GeForce GTX 1070所设计的。一个BIOS更新应该可以改善这个问题。它也没有提供Thunderbolt 3或者USB 3.1第二代接口。对于一台2016/2017年的这个价位上的机型,我们认为这应该属于标配。
