EN→zh-CNI like the Dell 16 Plus a lot. But when it comes to value, the price is a big factor: At $1,149 retail, I’m a lot less excited than the $799 or less price I see right now! It’s not just about the internals: Decisions like including both a fingerprint reader and an IR camera show Dell going above and beyond what it needs to at this price range. ooking over the benchmarks, I wasn’t as thrilled as I expected to be: Lunar Lake is all about battery life improvements, but the base Dell 16 Plus uses that efficiency upgrade to drop the battery size. I reviewed last year’s Dell Inspiron 16 Plus with Meteor Lake, which was packing a larger 90 Watt-hour battery, and that machine delivered longer battery life along with stronger multithreaded performance. (Of course, last year’s model is heavier and this new Lunar Lake-powered system has better graphics performance.)

EN→zh-CNThe Dell 16 Plus 2-in-1 is a responsive machine in ways that users care about: fast boot times, nice multitasking abilities, and pretty good battery life, with a large, brilliant display in a convertible form factor. The device is competitively priced when it's on sale -- like right now -- $1,249 for 32GB (the version I recommend) which are asking prices that are hard to beat for any laptop with this processor. If you're looking for a big-screen laptop/tablet hybrid with a stylus and brilliant display, and don't need something exceedingly thin and lightweight, the Dell 16 Plus 2-in-1 is a fantastic option.

EN→zh-CNIf you consider Dell's rebrand a fresh starting point, there's plenty of room to be optimistic about the current direction its mid-tier two-in-ones, including the Dell 16 Plus, are taking. However, optimism about potential future iterations doesn't mean the current generation is a good value proposition. While there are a number of things to recommend the Dell 16 Plus, its hindrances, like the subpar battery life, unfortunate keyboard design and underwhelming speakers, mean it slips below the level of some of its competition. In a crowded field, the Dell 16 Plus fails to stand out, and it's not priced in a way that would justify looking the other way, where many of its faults are concerned.

EN→zh-CNThe Dell 16 Plus 2-in-1 is a versatile convertible laptop from this famously reliable computer giant. The big, bright touchscreen is equally great for photo-editing as it is for watching films in bed, and the ergonomics of the sturdy build are generally very pleasing in use. Adding to that, you get a capable, big laptop for both work and (a little) play for under £/$1,000 (at least the base model). It is quite heavy, though, the Intel Arc graphics still lag behind Apple and laptops with NVIDIA graphics on board, and despite 32GB of RAM, its top-end performance is relatively limited compared to zippier rivals. If you don't need 3D prowess or intense processing power, this Dell hits a sweet spot between value and performance for a lot of users.

EN→zh-CNWhat to expect from Sims 4's fairies in new packThe Dell 16 Plus 2-in-1 is a perfectly competent hybrid laptop. Its hinge allows the system to transform into various modes to better adapt to your needs. Its chassis is well built even though it's not particularly eye-catching. Performance is solid and battery life is slightly better than average for its class, while Dell's optional mini LED display provides a great viewing experience. And starting at just $750 (or around $1,400 for the fully loaded model review here), this system feels very reasonably priced. My main issue is that between its revamped name and new streamlined design, the Dell 16 Plus 2-in-1 suffers from a complete lack of personality. It's a totally serviceable machine, but it doesn't have a single trait or feature that endears itself to its user. Same goes for its name.

EN→zh-CNThe Dell 16 Plus 2-in-1 buries the Inspiron nameplate and resurrects itself in a fresh design that looks clean and simple. Though, I will say, this is a chunky boy and has some heft to it. A lot of this has to do with the 2-in-1 design and the hinges needed for such a design. It’s not heavier than the competition, so it’s not an issue when it comes to comparing. But for those who want light and portable, this boy may be a bit hefty. Maybe a 14″ would be better for portability. The new keyboard is comfortable, backlit, and has decent key travel. The trackpad is OK but could be improved. I suggest you shell out for the mini-LED display because it is fantastic. It’s bright with great color reproduction and the blacks are great as are the whites.

EN→zh-CNThe Dell 16 Plus 2-in-1 isn't designed to be the sleekest laptop on the market. It is, however, designed to be a workhorse, and it is absolutely that. Between the Intel processor, onboard NPU, and ample storage, the 16 Plus 2-in-1 is a great fit for professionals who need equipment they can rely on. The same goes for students. This laptop's solid build and reasonable price tag make it a great choice for students heading into college or even those who just need an upgrade. An added bonus is that the 2-in-1 design will give them the flexibility they need for whatever their professors throw at them. If I chose to give up my 14-inch laptop and go back to a larger form factor, this would be at the top of my list.

EN→zh-CNThe Dell 16 Plus 2-in-1 has some strengths, including its display quality and surprisingly solid gaming performance. However, its extremely poor battery life, combined with merely acceptable daily performance and a heavy chassis, make it difficult to recommend for most people in this competitive price range. With less than 8 hours of battery life, you won't be able to get through a full day of work or school without hauling around a charger with you. That's a significant letdown, considering there are other 16-inch 2-in-1 laptops available for around the same price that offer significantly longer battery life.If battery life isn't a top concern for you, the Dell 16 Plus 2-in-1 may still be worth considering. The 16-inch display is vivid and bright, making this a good pick if you mainly use your laptop for entertainment. It can handle casual gaming better than expected, considering its price, so this may also be a good option if you're shopping for a budget-friendly laptop and want to play some lightweight games.

EN→zh-CNThe Dell Plus 16 2-in-1 is an important laptop for the company, meant to introduce a new brand that convince laptop buyers that although the names have changed, the design and quality remain the same. Dell has made it theoretically easier to buy a laptop, but it was vital to avoid letting the first users down. I think the Dell Plus 16 2-in-1 does its job. It’s not a perfect laptop, by any means, but it’s reasonably priced given is quality build, and the decision to build around an excellent mini-LED display was a good one. That elevates this laptop into a strong recommendation, while the entry-level display will offer its own advantages.

EN→zh-CNBut if you're the same kind of power user that I am, who wants a laptop that can do everything, the Dell 16 Premium is a pretty great option. It can game, it can run Gimp and Capcut, and it's pretty darn portable for a 16-inch laptop with a discrete GPU as it weighs just 4.65 pounds. While I won't be using the Dell 16 Premium to replace my gaming desktop, it's a solid option to take with me on my next vacation.

EN→zh-CNThe Dell 16 Premium is a high-end machine, and as far as Windows laptops go, it's perhaps my favorite option. It's stylish and well-designed, has a stunning display, and boasts top-tier performance. Its battery life certainly leaves a little to be desired though — and it's definitely not cheap. But if you want a laptop with a 16-inch display, and aren't looking for a thicker, heavier gaming laptop, the Dell 16 Premium is the way to go.

EN→zh-CNIt's not often that a laptop can challenge the esteemed MacBook Pro 16-inch and survive the battle, but the Dell 16 Premium absolutely holds it's own against the favored laptop of creatives everywhere, often outperforming it in key areas. If you go for the OLED model, however, just know that its battery life is not great, so bring a charger.

EN→zh-CNThe Dell Premium 16 blends style and substance, offering standout CPU performance, a stunning display, and top-tier speakers all wrapped in an elegant, eye-catching design. If that all sounds appealing to you, then this laptop is definitely worth considering. While this laptop packs a relatively powerful GPU that can handle most graphically demanding software, its graphical performance falls short of expectations compared to some of its rivals ranked as the best Windows laptops. Additionally, design choices like the hidden touchpad, capacitive buttons, and missing ports may feel more polarizing than polished. In the end, if you’re all about having the sleekest tech in the room, the Dell 16 Premium won’t disappoint, but if you want something with a more traditional keyboard and touchpad, you might want to consider something else.

EN→zh-CNWhat we have here are aesthetics-focused notebooks with reasonable performance but limited upgradeability, which is common for laptops in this weight class. The user experience with both machines is promising, thanks to gorgeous displays, great sound systems, stylish designs, and Intel's Arrow Lake CPU platform. It's only once you start to dig in with these machines that you may start to encounter some frustrations. First and foremost on our list are the capacitive function buttons, which are a divisive design choice. If a user is accustomed to standard markings and tactility for the trackpad area, they might find Dell's invisible trackpad frustrating, too. Neither of these issues ruin the value proposition of these laptops, but they may be frustrating for some.

EN→zh-CNPrices for the Dell Premium 16 start at $1,800 for the base model on the company's official storefront. My review unit currently retails for $2,800 as part of a temporary promotion. If you want a graphic design laptop with extra oomph behind it, I recommend the Alienware 18 Area-51. Its Stealth Mode feature disables all RGB lighting, allowing the gaming laptop to fit right in an office setting. Be mindful of its battery life because it's not great either. Personally, I would go with Dell's laptop. Its performance is rock solid, and it is a more affordable option than the base Alienware 18, which costs $3,200.

EN→zh-CNThe new Dell 16 Premium and Dell 14 Premium have a couple of key differences from last year. The most obvious and main difference is that they are no longer called XPS. The other differences come with configuration and performance. These new machines are now running Intel’s latest Arrow Lake processors and NVIDIA’s latest dedicated GPUs. Arrow and Lunar Lake processors have proven to be much better on battery life with the new CPU/GPU/NPU integration, and that continues to be the case here. Normally, I might advise folks to save some money and purchase last year’s models discounted. But with the new performance boosts, you can’t go wrong with buying the Dell 16 Premium or the 14 now. Dell is already running specials to get the ball rolling on these new devices. Yes, you might miss the XPS name, but you’re essentially getting everything but the name here.
