EN→zh-CNThe X300 series is now official in China, and there's no clear commitment on vivo's part to make the phones global. There's some hope, though, as OriginOS 6, which made its Chinese debut last week, is expected to go global in a few days. Last year, we had a global X200 Pro, making a global X300 Pro logical, at the very least. We'll have to wait and see.But having had some time with the vivo X300 and X300 Pro, we can say we like them. They feel better in the hand than their predecessors and feel more complete as a series. That's mainly due to their sizes, which cover just about anyone who doesn't want a foldable. The change-up in build is welcome. A glossy and overly curved phone feels outdated in this world of flat, matte, slab phones we live in. Usher in the flatter, matter vivo X300 Pro with vivo's excellent cameras and software, and you've got yourself a better phone than the X200 Pro.

EN→zh-CNThe X300 Pro doesn't differ too much from its predecessor, and that's a good thing. Vivo somehow managed to deliver even better cameras, and the result is that the X300 Pro takes the best photos of any phone available today — there's no question about that. The powerful MediaTek internals hold up to demanding tasks, most regions get a massive battery, and there isn't much to fault with the rest of the device. The software has been updated to OriginOS 6 globally, and it is much better to use than the outgoing Funtouch OS — if glitchy occasionally. On the whole, if you're looking to buy a new phone and want the best cameras and a great all-round device, the X300 Pro is the phone to beat.

EN→zh-CNAs we approach the conclusion of this review, the Vivo X300 Pro demonstrates its strengths by addressing previous uncertainties: once again reaffirming the vivo X series’ leadership in mobile imaging and its relentless spirit of innovation. Its imaging capabilities are impressive, rivaling the best flagship models from earlier generations. Whether it’s the 200-megapixel telephoto lens or the Sony LYT-828’s gimbal-grade main camera, every shot exudes confidence. Every beautiful moment visible to the naked eye is captured with remarkable clarity. After a few days of use, my enthusiasm for photography with this phone has only grown. The 2.35X teleconverter allows easy capture of distant details, while the large aperture creates a natural depth of field and excellent macro effects for close-up shots.
