The HP Victus 15 (fb3000) is a gaming laptop that tries to wear two hats: a capable entry-level gaming machine and an unassuming, stealthy workstation that won’t look out of place in a classroom or office. It succeeds in blending these two worlds reasonably well, offering a solid core performance package without the aggressive “gamer” tax or aesthetic. However, this dual identity and budget-friendly approach come with significant compromises. While the GPU performance is stable, the laptop struggles heavily with CPU thermals, and its display leaves a lot to be desired for anything other than basic gaming or office work.
