Now, let’s talk about its price. The vivo X200 is priced at PHP57,999 for the 16GB + 512GB configuration. Overall, this phone excels in camera performance, making it an excellent choice for photography and videography enthusiasts. The display is impressive, and the design is simple yet durable. However, one notable downside is the lack of AI features, which many competing brands now offer. Nonetheless, the vivo X200 remains a solid choice.

The vivo X200's shortcomings aren't all that many, and where we find some, they're not quite in dealbreaker territory. Now, you might feel otherwise, if you're in Austria in particular, or the EU in general, but we're sure that even there you'll find a way to charge your new phone and you'll be fine without pressure washing it too. Not quite top-tier are the X200's selfies, but that's not really exclusive to this model specifically - it's more of a standout result when we do get truly nice images out of a front-facing camera. The display, admittedly, is a minor letdown - it's plenty bright, but we kind of expected an LTPO panel at this price point. Other than that, we were treated to an overall great experience.

The Vivo X200 is a bit of a mystery. For one, it's so good that we don't see many reasons to go for the more expensive X200 Pro instead of this one. Secondly, we are having a hard time figuring out where you should buy one from. Maybe this "global" phone will be limited to some markets only? In any case, with a 4-year software update promise, and pretty good performance, camera, and display, we can't argue against grabbing this phone. It's a bit of a riskier move — Vivo isn't as established in the west as Samsung, who is now launching a Galaxy S25. So, when concerned about warranty, support, and over-time performance, it's a bit of a scary choice. But, if you are feeling adventurous — you just may become one of Vivo's dedicated fans (the group is growing, judging by Reddit).

The Vivo X200 exemplifies that even non-Pro smartphones can deliver an exceptional camera experience. Thanks to its collaboration with ZEISS and an intuitive camera UI, capturing photos feels both enjoyable and effortless. As I mentioned, Vivo has done an excellent job with software optimisation, making it difficult to take a “bad” photo in either bright or dim lighting conditions. With 4K recording support on both the front and rear cameras, the Vivo X200 is also a dependable choice for content creators. But not just cameras, the Vivo X200 offers snappy performance, thanks to the MediaTek Dimensity 9400 SoC onboard. There’s still ground to cover in the AI department, and for that, the Find X8, Galaxy S24, and Pixel 9 are better options. If that isn’t a deal breaker, the Vivo X200 represents bang for your buck.

The Vivo X200 series is a serious contender if you’re after a flagship experience without splurging on an iPhone. With the standard model priced at Rs 64,999 and the Pro version at Rs 94,999, Vivo has packed in premium features that punch well above their price tags. What’s more is that after handily beating the iPhone in still photography last year, this year, we finally have a package that can hold a candle to the iPhone. While the X200 isn’t out to break performance records or dominate in gaming, it’s a brilliant all-rounder. You get a battery that just keeps going, a stunning display, and a design that feels as good as it looks. The refined FunTouch OS adds to the experience, though the pre-loaded bloatware is a small annoyance.

Smartphones have evolved to become more than just a communication or productivity tool but also a reflection of ourselves. And just as not all of us need fancy designer items or extravagant accessories, not everyone needs a smartphone that screams for attention. Some prefer a minimalist aesthetic that extols the virtues of good design that encompasses color, material, finish, and, most importantly, user experience. The Vivo X200 is one such design, bearing a simple appearance that belies the power it holds within.

Just like with OPPO’s Find X8, we’re happy that vivo has made the X200 available in the Philippines, giving Filipinos an opportunity to use vivo’s flagship phones that stand out for their camera performance. While it is on the pricey side, we think that vivo Philippines priced the X200 fairly with all the features it has to offer.

This is genuinely one of the most confusing phones I’ve tested this year. It has great cameras, but the AI corrections can be overwhelming for some users. The build and display feel premium, but the speakers and fingerprint sensor are not good enough for the price. Then you have the powerful specifications, but FunTouch OS still has some niggles that need work. On the other hand, Vivo has put a ton of work into making this phone look and feel the way it looks and feels, which is great. So hardware-wise, the Vivo X200 has the makings of a flagship but some more work on the software front will make it a truly recommendable phone.

The Vivo X200 series offers excellent value for money, delivering a premium experience and impressive performance at a significantly lower price than iPhones. The standard Vivo X200 is priced at Rs 64,999, while the Pro version costs Rs 94,999. If you’re seeking the best overall experience across most areas, the Vivo X200 Pro is the ideal choice. However, if you don’t need the 200-megapixel mode for ultra-high-resolution and you aren’t particular about crazy detailed shots, the standard Vivo X200 model is a fantastic alternative. It provides a photography experience, which is nearly at par with the Pro at a much lower cost. That said, the standard model does have some trade-offs in comparison to the Pro. It doesn't offer an LTPO panel (1Hz to 120Hz only on Pro) and comes with a slightly smaller battery (5,800mAh vs the Pro’s 6,000mAh).

The vivo X200 positions itself as a strong contender in the premium smartphone market, offering a powerful combination of top-notch performance, stunning display, advanced cameras, and solid battery life. With the MediaTek Dimensity 9400 SoC and up to 16 GB LPDDR5X RAM paired with 512 GB UFS 4.0 storage, the X200 delivers smooth multitasking, blazing-fast performance, and reliability for power users. The 5,800 mAh battery offers excellent endurance paired with 90W fast charging. It flaunts a sleek matte-finish glass-back design with a stunning 1.5K 120 Hz AMOLED display ensuring vibrant visuals, excellent clarity, and a premium viewing experience, while the IP68 + IP69 ratings provide superior dust and water resistance – perfect for durability in all conditions.

The X200 has all the makings of what we should expect on a flagship as we move towards 2025. You get a premium build, a solid set of cameras, and a bigger than usual battery that proves to provide a great battery life to complement its flagship internals. This biggest question is how much vivo plans to price the X200 in the Philippines: the Find X8 retails for Php 55k locally, and the X80 Pro was priced close to Php 60k back in 2022. It is up to vivo Philippines to give the X200 a palatable price to make it a compelling flagship locally.

The vivo X200 maintains the standard version's “thin and light” features, and with the support of the Tenguet 9400, it delivers performance and energy efficiency comparable to a gaming phone. The new OriginOS 5 empowers the vivo X200 with many AI functions, and every practical function can make you see the light. In terms of image performance, the vivo X200 is still able to play steadily, and the new “Landscape Mode” also makes it easier to take photos. While the vivo X200 Pro mini does get more attention, the standard version of the vivo X200 has a flagship experience that goes beyond the standard version, both in terms of the powerful AI features brought by OriginOS 5 and the comfortable look and feel of the full-depth quad-curved screen, as well as a more affordable price compared to the Pro mini, making it still very recommendable.

On the whole, the Vivo X200 Pro is an excellent performer, which produces fantastic results across a wide variety of scenarios. It excels at macro and portraiture, and does very well in low light. The zoom lens is one of the best on the market, leaving you with very usable results, unlike some models which are often more about marketing than quality. The native camera app is very well-featured. Arguably, the wide range of options is a little overwhelming, but I’d rather have too many options than not enough. And you can always ignore most of the options and stick with the general Photo mode if you prefer. All of the different Portrait options are fun to experiment with, and if you’ve got people in your life you often like to take pictures of, then it’s a great option for that reason. Now of course for the bad news.

The phone continues the X series’ leadership in imaging while achieving a comprehensive upgrade in performance, design, and user experience. If you are an imaging enthusiast or have high requirements for high-performance mobile phones, then the vivo X200 Pro is undoubtedly a product worth considering.

Okay, so let me wrap up my Vivo X200 Pro review now. And after daily-driving this phone for more than 2 months, I must admit I’ve been incredibly impressed with this thing. Particularly with its cameras since no matter what phone I compare it with, I prefer the X200 Pro’s results more. To be honest, the so-called “industry leaders” like Apple and Samsung have been super lazy with their smartphone innovations lately. And when it comes to cameras, Chinese brands like Vivo, Honor, Xiaomi, and Huawei have been leading the charge. So if you’re a tech enthusiast who wants a state-of-the-art smartphone, if you want excellent cameras — especially for street photography and shooting portraits — then I’m sure you’re gonna love the Vivo X200 Pro. And I’m really happy how the Nepali smartphone industry finally has actual competition in the premium space other than Apple’s “Pro Max” iPhone and Samsung’s “Ultra” Galaxy.

The single drawback for the X200 Pro is that it is over-priced at R40 000. If the brand wants the device to compete with smartphones from Apple and Samsung that it can handily hold its own with, we need this price to go down. People who can spent R40k on a smartphone are not lining up at vivo stores, and this is a grave mistake from the company. Even getting it on contract through Vodacom will see you spend more than R40 000 for its duration. The vivo X200 Pro is brilliant piece of technology from a company that, at least locally, is known for affordable and mid-ranger devices. It is a standout in its portfolio for what vivo can do when its tries to excel. It is scoring every point, but it desperately needs to be R10 000 cheaper or more, and for that we can’t give it a perfect score. If you have the money to spend, consider the X200 Pro, even though it lacks all the social caches of Apple and Samsung, and all the support and software features that may come with either. We thoroughly enjoyed it.

Considering the hardware and the co-engineered Zeiss camera module, RM4,699 is not an unreasonable asking price for the vivo X200 Pro. That being said and as shown in the Competition section, it is safe to say that we have options, both in MediaTek and Qualcomm flavours to boot. If you can look past MediaTek setup, though, the X200 Pro promises exceptionally long battery life, an equally impressive camera system, and all the trimmings you’d need from a flagship.

The Vivo X200 Pro sets the benchmark for what a telephoto lens can do on a smartphone. It’s rare for a telephoto to take the lead on a phone’s rear camera array, but that’s my biggest takeaway after putting this device through its paces. It’s not just that it’s a 200-megapixel periscope; it’s also more adaptable than most others currently available. In a way, Vivo works somewhat backward with the X200 Pro by dialing things back in some respects to accommodate advancements elsewhere.

The vivo X200 Pro follows in its predecessors’ footsteps by largely delivering one of the best camera phones of the year. That’s mostly due to the excellent telephoto camera and a wide variety of photo/video features. The durable design, good battery life, great screen, and flagship-tier performance all add up to a phone that’s worth considering if it’s in your market. Unfortunately, the glare issue is something I couldn’t forget about, and you’ll have to take into account if you’re looking to pick one up. It doesn’t occur often, and vivo has introduced a couple of tools in a bid to deal with it, but this is still annoying when it does happen. Furthermore, you’ll have to deal with plenty of bloatware and a dearth of on-device AI features that don’t add up to much when compared to Google or Samsung’s suites.

Overall, the vivo X200 Pro is probably the best zoom camera phone to date. Although its MediaTek Dimensity 9400 chipset doesn't offer the same performance as the Snapdragon 8 Elite, it has camera functionality that many current flagship phones can't match. If your priority is photography, the vivo X200 Pro is an option you should consider. But if you want an alternative for gaming or other use cases, we suggest the realme GT 7 Pro (RM3699) or ROG Phone 9 (RM3999). Both offer faster performance for gaming and everyday situations with the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset. Another flagship phone that prioritises the camera is the OPPO Find X8 Pro (RM4999). However, its zoom prowess isn't as strong and it can't record videos at 8K resolution.

The Vivo X200 Pro is a pretty good smartphone and the only thing it has going against it is that it's a rather obscure brand in western markets. A lot of users veer away since they are concerned about support. Or they are having actual trouble buying one from a reputable store. Plus, if you are already in the ecosystem of other big players, you'd probably feel more comfortable with a Samsung, iPhone, or Pixel. All that said, if you are feeling adventurous, curious, or excited about that zoom camera — the Vivo X200 Pro is definitely a solid phone, which shouldn't disappoint. We have yet to see how it performs over the long term, but our review time with it was fun, the camera was performing great, and the phone is pretty to look at and feels premium to operate.

The X200 Pro had big shoes to fill for us - it was meant to be the X100 Ultra we couldn't have in Western markets. For the most part, it delivers, but vivo does appear to have made sure to leave enough room to breathe for the next Ultra. It was the X100 Ultra camera setup we were after, only in a global firmware phone, and the new Pro doesn't quite get us there. The main camera is great, just not quite as great as we know they can make them, the ultrawide is average, and the selfie camera isn't Ultra-grade either. But really, it was the X100 Ultra's telephoto that we've dubbed 'transformative' on more than one occasion, and the X200 Pro is bringing that to the world.

The Vivo X200 Pro maintains the benchmark set by its predecessor, the X100 Pro, and is the camera phone to beat in 2025. The X200 Pro also brings significant upgrades across the board. The standout feature remains its ZEISS-engineered rear camera system, which is a benchmark for smartphone photography. At its core is an extraordinary 200MP telephoto lens, delivering excellent clarity and detail, whether capturing distant subjects or shooting portraits. This is complemented by a versatile suite of lenses, ensuring professional-grade performance in virtually any lighting condition. The X200 Pro also shines in other key areas. Its display offers vibrant colours, deep contrast, and ultra-smooth refresh rates, making everything from streaming to gaming a delight.

Is the Vivo X200 Pro the right phone for you? Well, that’s for you to figure out, of course, what I can say is that this is an outstanding smartphone, one of the best I’ve ever used. It has one of the best and best-performing camera setups on the market. On top of that, the performance is top-notch, as is the battery life, while the phone also charges really fast. Wireless charging is included, as is an outstanding display, and so on. There’s really not much to complain about when it comes to this phone. You can find some details that you’d like to be different, but as a whole, the Vivo X200 Pro is an outstanding phone. In my opinion, it’s definitely worth your hard-earned cash.

The X200 Pro is another masterstroke from Vivo. It packs in so much that when you compare it with any other rival smartphone in its price range, the X200 Pro beats them hands down. Of course, the first set of users sliding towards X200 Pro have to be camera enthusiasts, and there is no point in guessing that. But, as an overall package, the X200 Pro is Vivo's best smartphone offering in its 10 years of existence in India. Yes, it's that good. The cameras will blow you away, while the design will grow on you as you spend more time with the X200 Pro. Performance is handled well; software-wise, this is Vivo's most sorted device yet. The IP68 + IP69 ratings should give you peace of mind while navigating in some challenging conditions.

Its standout camera system, featuring a 200MP Zeiss-certified APO telephoto lens and a range of advanced imaging modes, sets a new standard in mobile photography. Beyond the camera, the device impresses with its powerful performance, exceptional battery life, and premium display quality. There is room for improvement in areas like videography and software features, where it lags behind competitors. However, it remains one of the top choices in the premium smartphone segment.

Reviewing the Vivo X200 Pro (global edition) after nearly two weeks of using as my full time phone. From its Zeiss camera tech to the gaming smarts and battery life, the Vivo X200 Pro has a lot of highlights. The Vivo X200 Pro is a testament to Vivo’s commitment to pushing the boundaries of smartphone photography. Its revamped telephoto lens, improved video capabilities, and versatile camera features make it a standout choice for photography enthusiasts. While it doesn’t dominate in raw performance or gaming, the X200 Pro delivers a well-rounded flagship experience with excellent battery life, a stunning display, and a premium build. The refined FunTouch OS enhances usability, but the bloatware remains a drawback. The Vivo X200 Pro enters the market as a bold statement for smartphone photography enthusiasts, building upon the strong foundation laid by its predecessor, the Vivo X100 Pro (review). With a relentless focus on camera innovation, Vivo aims to cement its place as a leader in mobile photography.

If you live in a country where the Vivo X200 Pro is sold officially, you should absolutely check it out. Performance is up there with the best late-2024 and 2025 flagships, battery life is genuinely impressive, and the screen is a beauty. I can’t really fault the styling either – sure, it feels a little samey, but seemingly the whole phone world is guilty of that these days. Photography is where this phone stands out, with one of the best zoom lenses I’ve used and image processing that’s on point pretty much everywhere. Some rivals eke out wins in certain situations, but the Vivo doesn’t really let the side down anywhere. I prefer its colour treatment to anything Samsung or Apple is doing right now, which is high praise indeed.

The Vivo X200 Pro is a real delight, and if you’re ok with carrying a fairly chunky phone, with an absolute unit of a camera bump, you’re sure to love it too. This is likely the best camera phone available in the global market today. Don’t be fooled into thinking that cameras are the only attraction here, though, it has a lovely display, powerful performance, solid battery life and speedy charging. It looks and feels extremely premium, too. The downside is the availability. This phone isn’t coming to the UK, and to no one’s surprise, it’s not coming to the US either. The only European countries that are currently confirmed are Spain, Italy, Poland and Hungary. So for a lot of our readers, the only way to get one would involve importing, which is a real shame, as most people aren’t going to want the hassle.

Vivo didn't make too many changes to the X200 Pro, and that's a good thing. You still get terrific cameras and a versatile auxiliary package that includes a 200MP telephoto lens from the X100 Ultra, and it shoots groundbreaking portrait photos. The new design is great to hold, the AMOLED panel gets noticeably brighter than the X100 Pro, there's even more power, and the phone lasts two days thanks to a bigger battery. If you're in the market for a flagship and want something that has the best camera package, the X200 Pro should be at the top of your list.

The vivo X200 Pro is an excellent flagship smartphone that boasts excellent performance and multimedia capabilities. The cameras, while great, provide a bit of an odd experience in the sense that the wide camera is not as good as its zoom camera, and every other camera module could use an improvement. If you do take zoom shots a lot, it is quite enjoyable to use as it really works great. Its battery life makes it stand within a class of its own and I hope all the other brands take note of this.

At the end of the day, should you buy the vivo X200 Pro? At the price of RM4,699, I’d say yes. It’s once again a good all-rounder package with an emphasis on the cameras because I just like it a lot. Thanks to the MediaTek Dimensity 9400, we can also play games with high frame rates and graphical settings on this phone yet the thermal limit is only at 45°C. The phone also looks and feels great to hold, but I’m really not a fan of the camera bump. At the price of RM4,699 – it is definitely creeping up to the ultra flagships of the world. The Funtouch OS is also a bit bland and it has a bunch of ads and bloatware that we have to deal with. Flagship phones shouldn’t have such things. It’s really up to you to decide if this is a good phone or not. We’ve shown you our findings and the price. If you like it, go buy one.

The X200 Pro had big shoes to fill for us - it was meant to be the X100 Ultra we couldn't have. But really, it was the X100 Ultra's telephoto that we've dubbed 'transformative' on more than one occasion, and the X200 Pro is on its way to bringing that to the world.

The Vivo X200 Pro brings major improvements over its predecessor in terms of design, camera, processing power and battery life. It is a phone that deserves the “Pro” moniker in its name and is unparalleled in terms of camera performance thanks to the new 200-megapixel telephoto lens. If you want a Vivo phone that does not compromise in any segment, then consider buying the Vivo X200 Pro. Those looking for a smaller form factor can take a look at the Vivo X200 Pro mini, which offers similar features albeit in a much more compact frame.

As Vivo’s 2024 imaging flagship, the X200 Pro builds on the success of the X100 Ultra’s telephoto imaging while achieving comprehensive upgrades in performance and battery life. It successfully establishes itself as a new benchmark for imaging phones. The X200 Pro enhances the X100 Ultra’s 200-megapixel Zeiss APO super-telephoto lens, featuring a large 1/1.4-inch sensor that accurately captures details and colors in long-range shots. Whether photographing architectural vistas during the day or the starry sky at night, the X200 Pro’s periscope telephoto lens consistently delivers high-quality, clear, and bright images, even in complex lighting conditions.

It seems like the vivo X200 Pro received some extra love this year. The company is introducing a substantial upgrade to the camera system with supporting software features, runs on an even more powerful chipset and gets some extra battery capacity. If vivo is able to maintain a reasonable price point outside of China, it can easily become one of the hottest flagships, at least until the first half of next year. It also raises our expectations of the upcoming vivo X200 Ultra and gives fewer reasons to get the X100 Ultra from earlier this year. The X200 Pro gets pretty close to the X100 Ultra hardware and feature-wise.

The Vivo X200 Pro is here. How big of an upgrade will depend on which X100 phone you're comparing to. Against the X100 Pro, it's a noticeable upgrade, with a 200-megapixel Periscope zoom lens with the largest sensor size in the industry, and an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner, along with the MediaTek Dimensity 9400. Against the X100 Ultra, it's a smaller upgrade, since it already has an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner and the 200-megapixel zoom lens. But the X200 Pro bring some new software camera features, like the ability to shoot 135mm portraits with very fast shutter. There's also the ability to shoot 10-bit LOG footage that opens up color grading possibilities.

The Vivo X200 Ultra delivers excellent results in the DXOMARK Camera tests, securing itself one of the top position in our ranking. It offers a highly original and complete camera system that stands out from the competition. Unlike most rival phones, which use a wider focal length of around 25 mm, the Vivo’s primary camera comes with an unusual 35 mm equivalent focal length, making it a very compelling option for portrait photography, thanks to a narrower depth of field which helps isolate the subject from the background. But the Vivo X200 Ultra is not only great for portrait photographers. Its camera’s overall performance make it one of the best imaging smartphones in general.

Thankfully, the vivo X200 Ultra also ticks many boxes for a 2025 flagship device. There’s the all-powerful Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, a 6,000mAh battery that usually delivers two days of regular usage, 90W wired and 40W wireless charging, and a bright, 6.82-inch QHD+ OLED screen. Other notable vivo X200 Ultra features include IP68/IP69 ratings, an Apple-style Camera Control button, an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor, Bluetooth 6.0, and Wi-Fi 7. So, the vivo X200 Ultra has a cutting-edge set of cameras that could be a sign of things to come, a ton of performance, a large battery, and plenty of premium extras. So far, so good, right? There is one major caveat, though. Unlike the excellent vivo X200 Pro ($749.99 at Giztop), the Ultra is limited to China only.

Vivo did it once again — the X200 Ultra delivers the best cameras of any phone you can buy today. There's a new 50MP main camera at the back that takes better photos than last year's X100 Ultra, and Vivo used the same sensor in the wide-angle lens, giving it a distinct edge. The 200MP telephoto lens is outstanding, and to round out the cameras, the X200 Ultra takes detailed portrait shots. It isn't just about the cameras either — the rest of the package is just as good. You get a design that's better to hold and use, one of the brightest AMOLED panels, silicon-carbon battery that lasts a day and a half, and all the extras. The only point of contention is that the phone isn't making its way outside China; even then, the X200 Ultra is the best phone I used this year, and I don't see that changing.

The X200 Ultra brings in meaningful advancements in the camera system, treating us to what's the best ultrawide on the market, a fresh take on the main camera, and a touched up telephoto with potential for yet more reach. The vivo flagship is also great for selfies - not a given with many Ultras out there. It's hard to find a cameraphone as complete as this one. Naturally, the X200 Ultra is solid on the fundamentals as well, even if it's not quite up there with the best in endurance and charging speed. The display is brighter than most, the speakers are good, the software is polished, even though it has its limitations for international use. With the X200 Ultra vivo has introduced a few improvements to what was already a winning formula. One of our favorite camera systems got a little different and in many ways better.

Well, you cannot buy the Vivo in most Western markets, so the question is not really relevant here. But the Vivo X200 Ultra is clearly an incredible camera phone. The clever idea of a 35mm main lens and a much better ultra-wide camera brings lots of benefits and results in fantastic images. However, that gigantic camera bump is not only an eye sore — it's a serious design flaw and one that many people won't be able to forgive. As for my personal conclusion, well, this will not become my daily driver for long, but I'm taking this phone on my next trip to Italy. It's a really exciting camera and would make for a great second phone, if you have that luxury.

After living with the X200 Pro for the past six months, I had extremely high expectations for the Vivo X200 Ultra. That's usually a good way to set yourself up for disappointment, but that's not what happened here. In fact, at least in the photography department, the X200 Ultra exceeded my expectations. I underestimated how much I would appreciate having such a well-specced ultrawide camera, and shooting with a 35mm primary lens made a bigger difference than I anticipated, too. Not to mention the photography kit and the excellent Zeiss teleconverter, which blew me away with its compression and sharp detail. While the cameras are the big draw, the phone is great elsewhere. The performance is top-notch, the battery lasts for ages, it charges quickly, and the screen is lovely. Of course, no phone is perfect. The selfie camera is good, but it's not the best, and it could really use some extra stabilisation for video shooting. The microphones are pretty mediocre too, they'll need some work to beat the likes of Apple.

Reviewing the Vivo X200 Ultra, one of the best smartphones of 2025 for camera fans, but a global release is off the cards. So the Chinese ROM, along with a few other issues, keeps the Vivo X200 Ultra from being my favourite phone right now. Here's a closer look at the gaming performance, battery life and other bits, now I've had a chance to use it as my full-time mobile. Most of this massive smartphone is rather enjoyable, such as the flexible, well designed camera which shoots crispy photos at various focal lengths. Almost any conditions result in slick pics, but the Vivo X200 Ultra does stumble in lower light where the tele focus and motion is concerned. For a closer look at the photography kit, check out my dedicated camera review video. Performance is good enough for gaming on Wuthering Waves etc for long periods.

Vivo X200 Ultra is here, and I got the full kit with the 200mm telephoto lens co-developed with Zeiss. The X200 Ultra does four things differently than most phones, including giving the ultra-wide camera parity, and making the main camera shoot at 35mm focal length. But the star of the show is still that 200MP Periscope sensor, the best zoom lens in the market.

The vivo X200 Ultra walks a fine line between smartphone and dedicated camera. Its 35mm-centric approach and modular add-ons cater to photography purists, while its refined hardware and software ensure mainstream appeal. Yes, the camera module is audacious, and the teleconverter borders on absurdity. But in a world where smartphones increasingly replace dedicated cameras, the X200 Ultra stands out by embracing—not masking—its hybrid identity. It’s a "V Camera" first, but also a no-compromise flagship that excels in everyday use. For those who demand both a pocketable powerhouse and a creative tool, it’s a compelling step forward—even if that step is half a stride into uncharted territory.

The vivo X200 Ultra isn’t just a phone—it’s a creative toolkit. While its size and premium pricing (expected above $900) will narrow its audience, photographers and videographers craving DSLR-like flexibility in a pocketable form will find it irresistible. With this device, vivo isn’t just playing the specs game; it’s redefining what a smartphone can be.

Now let’s talk value. With an expected starting price of $580 (converted from 4,299 RMB), the vivo X200s punches way above its weight class. For that kind of money, you’re getting flagship-level performance, a massive battery, fast charging (both wired and wireless), and a design that feels like it should cost twice as much. Compare that to other phones in the same price range, and it’s hard to find something that matches the X200 there. Plenty of phones claim to be “Apple alternatives,” but few deliver on that promise the way the vivo X200s does. It doesn’t just mimic the look and feel of an iPhone—it offers features and experiences that genuinely rival Apple’s ecosystem while staying true to its own identity.

The vivo X200s transcends the typical "semi-upgrade" label. Its blend of elegant design, top-tier performance, marathon battery life, and thoughtful features like ultrasonic fingerprint and Direct Power Bypass makes it a compelling choice for both gamers and general users. Priced aggressively at ~¥3,799 post-subsidies, it challenges rivals like the iPhone 16 and Galaxy S25 in value-for-money110.

The Vivo X200 FE stands out as a well-rounded contender in the world of compact smartphones. It combines a clean, modern design with reliable performance, all in a size that feels comfortable for everyday use. The bright display, strong battery life, and fast charging ensure the phone keeps up with busy routines without missing a beat. Camera performance is good for most situations, particularly with the main and telephoto lenses, even if the ultra-wide camera lags behind some competitors. While it doesn’t quite reach the heights of flagship camera phones, it covers most needs for users who value flexibility and convenience. Software support is solid, with several years of updates promised, and the phone’s dust and water resistance adds an extra layer of reassurance.

The X200FE is ideal for those who are craving a camera phone with well rounded camera specs and comprehensive shooting modes. Yes, the ultra-wide camera’s resolution is lower than its competitors, but the Zeiss-backed main and telephoto unit tackles portraits, street scenes and night photos impressively. While video recording is supported by a very effective stabilisation. It is a standout choice for a small-bodied smartphone for photography, assuming you can source it in your country.

The vivo X200 FE offers a unique package for a smartphone in 2025. It has all the features of a flagship smartphone launched this year, but has a much smaller and lighter design. However, the chipset isn't on par with many flagship phones, plus the lack of wireless charging feels disappointing. Undoubtedly, this is still a solid flagship device that's well-rounded. It's also more affordable than most flagships at RM3199, so it's an option that's worth considering. If you want a comparably compact flagship, an alternative would be the Samsung Galaxy S25 (RM3999). This phone is pricier, but has an even smaller 6.2-inch screen and a powerful Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset. Another option is the Google Pixel 9 (RM3999), which will receive future Android updates earlier than other Android brands. If you prefer something closer in price range, the Nothing Phone (3) (RM3299) offers a unique design and bloat-free UI.

At the end of the day, the old adage holds true that the best camera is the one you have on you. In that regard, the vivo X200 FE cameras elevate the concept to new heights, blending potent ZEISS-tuned cameras capable of tackling all but the most challenging photography scenarios in a compact form factor that can comfortably fit into a handbag or jeans pocket. On top of solid cameras, the vivo X200 FE cameras integrate a host of useful AI features that include ZEISS Multifocal Portrait mode, Stage Mode and more that offer a massive array of creative tools and options that are useful for both novices and seasoned photographers alike.

That said, one of the major highlights of the device is its cameras. The ZEISS-branded cameras deliver versatile performance in different lighting conditions. The telephoto, of course, is the star of the show here, and you will definitely love using different Zeiss bokeh effects. However, it is not a perfect device, and it still comes with some shortcomings, and first-party bloatware is one of them. This, along with a weak wide-angle camera performance and last year's processor, can be considered as its minor drawbacks. If you are looking for a rare breed of compact smartphone and don't want to spend more than Rs 60,000, then the Vivo X200 FE is definitely worth considering.

Being small is what makes the Vivo X200 FE stand out from a crowd of bigger phones, thanks to its impressive knack for capturing images that others can’t or won’t. Using the term “FE” feels like Vivo is ripping off Samsung, which uses the acronym to spell out “Fan Edition”, a way of giving consumers a mix of premium and affordable design and features. In this case, it’s reportedly supposed to mean “Fashion Edition” because of the brighter pastels (amber yellow, blue breeze, and pink vibe) Vivo uses to make this phone. There is also a luxe black (luxe grey is an India-exclusive) variant for those who prefer something less flashy. The naming conventions aside, the real draw here is the X200 FE’s more diminutive stature, which cuts down on size as an answer to the ever-increasing bodies and screens of today’s phones. The key is that, unlike other brands who do this, Vivo manages not to neuter the mobile photography side of things too much to make room.

At Rs 54,999, the Vivo X200 FE is easily one of the best options for those who want a relatively compact camera with flagship level performance. The likes of the OnePlus 13s (yes, we have a comparison coming up soon) and iPhone 16e can claim to come with better chips, but as a complete package, the Vivo X200 FE is almost as good as it gets in compact phoneland. It has got the small-ish size, Zeiss cameras and a battery that most flagships would be envious of, and best of all, comes with a price tag that’s premium but not intimidating. Will it make compact phones a thing again? It is too early to say, but it definitely has the potential to do so. At Rs 54,999, the Vivo X200 FE rivals the OnePlus 13s and other compact and budget flagships, aiming to spark a comeback for compact phones.

The vivo X200 FE shapes up to be one of the most compelling “FE” devices we’ve seen in recent memory. vivo manages to strike an impressive balance between premium design, reliable performance, and competitive pricing, making this phone a solid contender in the category. From the get-go, you’re greeted with a sleek build and an immersive AMOLED display that’s bright, sharp, and perfect for binge-watching or gaming on the go. Performance is equally reliable thanks to the efficient chipset under the hood, capable of handling everyday tasks without breaking a sweat.Battery life is another strong point here. With a large cell and vivo’s fast-charging support, you're looking at a phone that can confidently last you a full day — and quickly juice back up when needed.

Even though it's small, you've got a 6500mAh battery stuffed inside of here, which is bigger than the Pro and Ultra smartphones! Factor in 90W fast charging and it's a winner. The Vivo X200 FE doesn't compromise on performance either, happily gaming on Wuthering Waves for hours. Yes, with the graphics scaled right up. The camera hardware slapped on the back end of the Vivo X200 FE is a Zeiss triple lens setup. You've got a dual Sony wide and telephoto arrangement, plus a basic ultra-wide shooter. As usual, Vivo proves it's one of the best around for natural looking snaps and portraits.

Before 2024 ended, vivo launched the X200 smartphone in the local market. This month, it followed up with the vivo X200 FE, the brand’s first compact flagship in the X series lineup. As we all know, vivo is quite known for smartphones with strong camera capabilities, but does the new vivo X200 FE stand out in the camera department as well? And what exactly does vivo mean when they say compact smartphone?

Overall, it brings a powerful processor, premium design, and versatile cameras, making it a strong contender in the flagship space. That’s our review of the vivo X200 FE. What do you think about this device? Share your thoughts in the comments below!

Truth be told, that seems to be the whole point of the X200 FE. It is out to challenge the status quo and make small phones great again. There is no dearth of small flagship phones in the market. They are a dime a dozen really. Most of them are one-trick ponies. Sometimes, they are good at a few more things. But none comes to mind when you seek an all-rounder. There is almost always a catch. More often, it’s enough to nudge people into going for something else, something which is bigger and expectedly better. The X200 FE not just shows Vivo’s engineering might, it proves conclusively that big things can come in small packages.

But overall, like I said at the start, the Vivo X200 FE just gets the right compromise in the right areas. Sure, there are a few areas where it doesn’t quite reach flagship levels — like videography, the ultra-wide camera, and the slightly less powerful processor. And for that price, it’s honestly the perfect pick for anyone who’s always wanted a flagship-like experience but couldn’t quite stretch the budget. So, yeah, I think Vivo has delivered something that’s smart, that’s balanced, and genuinely impressive for the money here! So, what do you think? Would you go for the Vivo X200 FE with its smart compromises and killer price tag, or would you rather spend more on something with stronger brand value, like the Galaxy S25 or iPhone 16?

The X200 FE doesn’t disrupt the flagship formula, it distills it. And in doing so, it doesn’t just fit in your hand, it fits your life. At Rs 54,999, the X200 FE brings together a high-end processor, a genuinely compact design, excellent thermal management, versatile ZEISS-powered cameras, and one of the best battery performances we’ve seen in this segment. Add to that a 1.5K OLED display that’s both colour-accurate and bright enough for harsh outdoor use, and you’ve got a device that nails the fundamentals while still finding room for a few surprises. Its biggest win, however, is focus. This isn’t a phone trying to be everything for everyone. It’s made for users who want power without bulk, pro-grade cameras without carrying extra gear, and a clean, durable design without flashy compromises. Sure, it lacks some bells and whistles like wireless charging, and the ultrawide camera could be sharper.

I have loved living with the Vivo X200 FE. In a lot of situations, the photos look almost as good as those that I take with the X200 Pro, but it's so nice to have a slim, compact phone in your pocket, rather than a chunky behemoth. If you're intrigued by Vivo's camera prowess, but you're not the type to lug around a massive slab of phone, this could be a good entry point. That said, the downsides are plain to see. The main point of contention is that weak ultrawide camera, which just doesn't quite make sense to me. Even Vivo's more affordable V-series phones have managed to include 50MP ultrawide cameras - it's a very strange choice for such a premium device. There's also no wireless charging, no LOG video recording and limited international availability. If you live in the UK or the US, the only way to get one is by importing, and most won't want to go through the hassle.

I explored the Vivo X200 FE, and I am pleasantly surprised. Everything from its design to build to cameras to performance, the device feels like a lot of thought has been put into understanding consumer needs. What surprised me the most has been the outstanding battery life. In 2025, a phone that features an excellent camera system, offers one of the brightest displays, and has a flagship-grade chipset is bound to throttle. But Vivo X200 FE does not. It is a value-for-money smartphone that I would recommend.

The Vivo X200 FE positions itself as a strong mid-premium offering that blends flagship-like performance, solid camera hardware, and practical AI features into a compact form factor. Backed by the MediaTek Dimensity 9300+ chipset, the phone handles everyday tasks and gaming well, though it does heat up under pressure. Its minimalist design, excellent battery life, and impressive main and telephoto cameras help it stand out in a crowded segment. While the lack of wireless charging and some limitations with the ultra-wide camera may leave room for improvement, these trade-offs don’t significantly detract from the overall experience. The real-time AI tools and thoughtful software additions feel genuinely useful rather than just another checklist. If you’re looking for a smartphone that balances size, style, camera performance, and day-to-day usability with just the right touch of smart features, the Vivo X200 FE gets most of it right.

That said, the Vivo X200 FE is an interesting smartphone that comes with a compact, premium, and sleek design. The compact form factor makes it quite comfortable to hold in your hand. The display is sharp and offers an almost bezel-less experience. The cameras are surely one of the biggest highlights of this model, while the rest of the specifications look decent. As far as the competition is concerned, the Vivo X200 FE might go against the OnePlus 13s, which was launched recently.

The X200 FE is indeed a member of a relatively rare breed that we often see requested in the comments section - a pocketable phone with a big battery that doesn't skimp on cameras. It does deliver on its promises and will keep a low profile in your jeans, it will last long, and it will get you great stills in most situations. The small-ish display is all sorts of great, and as an added bonus, you'd be treated to high-quality ultrawide selfies. Of course, there are not-so-great aspects of the X200 FE to balance out the good stuff. Vivo couldn't fit a particularly exciting ultrawide camera (or simply chose not to) and its video capture isn't as nice as we'd have hoped. The charging situation is suboptimal, too, with no wireless capability and so-so wired charging speed. All things considered, the vivo X200 FE is a welcome sight as it brings diversity into a historically overlooked segment. We can see it captivating the hearts of those looking to shed bulk off their pockets yet unwilling to sacrifice performance

I'm a massive fan of compact smartphones, so the fact that the Vivo X200 Fan Edition exists makes me very happy. It's not as mini as PROPER mini mobiles from back in the day, but it's a welcome alternative to the 6.7-inch Pro and Ultra models. That camera has been scaled back a bit, but the Vivo X200 FE offers impressive gaming performance and a HUGE battery. The 6500 silicon carbon cell means all day play no worries, even if you're rinsing that camera.

As far as Vivo phones goes, the Vivo X200 FE takes a very different approach to its usual plastic builds. Sporting an aluminium frame and a glass back, the Vivo X200 FE looks and feels premium thanks to its almost-flagship positioning. It does resemble the Samsung Galaxy S25, but I guess that's how most phones are looking these days. That said, the camera modules at the back are very different, and leverage on Vivo's partnership with Zeiss. You get three cameras — a 50MP main camera, a 50MP periscope telephoto with up to 3x optical zoom, and an 8MP ultrawide. You get a lot of different modes, particularly portrait shots, from 23mm, 35mm, 50mm, 85mm, and 100mm.

So, should you buy the vivo X200 FE? It’s a question that I think really depends on the price. At the time of this filming, we don’t have the official price yet, and that is the most frightening thing about this phone. The price of the vivo X200 FE is at RM3,199, but for a limited time – there is a RM200 instant cash rebate. That means the vivo X200 FE is only at RM2,999, and I do think that the price is a bit too close to the vivo X200.

The vivo X200 FE embodies the proverb that good things come in small packages as it features a compact and robust IP68/IP69 dust and water resistant chassis and manages to shoehorn in flagship-grade hardware and excellent cameras too. Belying its svelte dimensions, it offers excellent performance, stunningly good battery life and an impressive set of cameras. If you seek flagship performance and endurance in a small package, the vivo X200 FE is it.
