Clearly, this is the kind of tablet for those who want don’t want to be burdened with a high learning curve, or just don’t want to spend a fortune. To that degree, the Lenovo Yoga Tab 3 8-inch does right by sporting a starting cost of $169.99 from the get-go, which is a bargain in the world of 8-inch tablets. If price clearly dictates your judgment, this is something that should be on your radar – just know that there are compromises in settling with it. However, if you’re able to spend just a little more, say $200, the Asus ZenPad S 8.0 would be a more attractive option.

As a media-consumption device, the Yoga Tab 3 stands above similarly priced 8-inch tablets, thanks mostly to its prodigious 15-hour-plus battery life. I like the Yoga Tab 3's kickstand, which is a feature I think every tablet should have. The Tab 3's front-facing speakers are key, too, even if the low-end audio is a little lacking.

The Lenovo Yoga Tab 3 is a tablet that seems designed to showcase a hinge style. No, it's not a new concept, but the construction of the body and hinge doesn't half show it off in a good light. It's just a pity that much of the meat inside the 8-inch Yoga Tab 3 seems a little stale - weaker than its pricier predecessor. Note we didn't say rotten, though. It's no outright stinker, so long as you can accept screen quality and general performance limitations then the Tab 3 has its target audience. Display and performance certainly aren't its strong point.

The Lenovo Yoga Tab 3 8 is a decent choice if you don't want to be locked into Amazon's content ecosystem. It's also better than the Amazon Fire for watching video, thanks to its slightly higher screen resolution and unique design that makes it comfortable to hold in your hand or prop up on the nearest flat surface. But it's hard to ignore just what a good deal the new Fire tablet is; you can buy three for the price of a single Yoga Tab. And considering it offers comparable performance, the Amazon Fire remains our Editors' Choice for budget tablets. If you're willing to spend more, you're better off with the Asus ZenPad S.

As handy as the kickstand is, though, the Yoga Tab’s internal hardware makes it an entry-level tablet. The Qualcomm APQ8009 processor and Adreno 304 graphics provide an acceptable experience for day-to-day tasks, but if you plan to and heavy gaming or run processor / graphics intensive apps, you’ll probably wish you had gone for a more expensive, more powerful tablet.

The Lenovo Tab 4 tablets look great and thanks to competitive pricing it should be an absolute bargain. Despite being underpowered for teenagers and adult users, paired with the Kids pack the basic Tab 4s have the chops to be a great tablet for children under 10.

Even with the bulky design and lacking update policy, I’ve still been really happy with the Lenovo Idea Tab Pro. This is a well-made Android tablet with a great display, outstanding speakers, solid performance, reliable battery life, fast charging, and a good software experience. It even comes with a free, pressure-sensitive stylus that attaches to the back of the tablet. The Idea Tab Pro will set you back $390 if you buy directly from Lenovo, but if you pick it up at Amazon, it’s available for $380 and comes with a free folio case. Considering everything the Idea Tab Pro gets right, it’s a pretty exceptional price. What are your alternatives? The Samsung Galaxy Tab A9 Plus ($219.99 at Amazon) is quite a bit cheaper, but it also has a lower-quality display, a weaker chipset, less internal storage, and much slower charging. It’s a solid option for the price, but you also get what you pay for.

Honestly, I'm sort of shocked by the value proposition offered by the Idea Tab Pro here. For $400 — or far less, depending on where you buy it — Lenovo has built a tablet that is basically ideal for streaming movies, watching YouTube videos, taking notes or doodling in class, and even listening to music. It's basically exactly what I want out of a cheap tablet: a big, bright display with specs just powerful enough to meet your expectations and not much else. Sure, if you're a big-time mobile gamer, this might not be the device for you, but otherwise, I'm pretty impressed. The real downside is software longevity. Lenovo, like its subsidiary Motorola, really struggles to keep its devices up to date, and post-purchase OS support is practically non-existent. This is a 2025 tablet that will stop receiving upgrades after Google's 2025 Android release, and that really stinks. Then again, I've made the argument plenty of times that OS upgrades matter less than ever.

The Motorola Pad 60 Pro is effectively a rebranded Lenovo Idea Tab Pro with identical specs but a slightly lower price – Rs 1,000 cheaper. It's a strong contender for media consumption and productivity, especially with the included stylus and vibrant display. However, if you're seeking a tablet primarily for gaming, this may not be the right choice. Audio limitations, frame drops, and ergonomic discomfort detract from the gaming experience.

Taken less as a ‘Pro’ tablet and more as a very good entry model for a more discerning customer, the Lenovo Idea Tab Pro is a slick device that looks great and performs well. We’d have liked more grunt under the hood and an OLED panel, but at this price point, it’s hard to feel like you’re not getting your money’s worth.

There’s no tablet yet which has managed to be all things for all. Some, such as the iPad Pro series, have come closer than others, though they cost a fortune. At the budget end, options have been limited for a long time, and the Idea Tab Pro bucks that trend by offering a concrete blend of competence and convenience. It has a nice display, enough power for most tasks, an inoffensive design, comes with useful extras and doesn’t cost the earth. Its size alone makes it far more suitable for work than a great deal of the competition. But for more power, a fancier display or better video calls prowess, it would be an instant recommendation. Instead, if you are looking for a laptop and have around £400 to spend, then think seriously about your needs. If you plan to use YouTube and produce Word documents, then this might be the machine for you.

At Rs 27,999 for the 8+128GB model, the Lenovo Idea Tab Pro is a compelling tablet. It finds a sweet spot between the pricier models like the Xiaomi Pad 7 and more affordable picks like the Redmi Pad Pro. Thanks to a big canvas of a screen, several multitasking features, a responsive stylus, and decent battery life, this can be an ideal learning tablet as Lenovo is pitching it to be. Moreover, if you want more from it, the MediaTek Dimensity 8300 chip, along with the memory and battery on offer, can run almost everything an everyday user would need. There are compromises, of course, like the front camera quality is underwhelming, the display’s outdoor brightness is limited, and software support could be longer. There is no cellular connectivity either. However, we think they are decent trade-offs for the asking price. So, all in all, the Lenovo Idea Pad Pro is not just a well-rounded package for study, work, and leisure, but also stays true to the value-driven spirit of the company’s Idea lineup.

At PHP 21,995, the Lenovo IdeaTab Pro is a well-packaged tablet since it already comes with a keyboard and a stylus in the price. It may not have the latest chipset or the longest battery life, but it has a beautiful 3K display and nice speakers. More importantly, it’s a great substitute for someone who wants a full Android ecosystem.

If you are someone who wants a tablet to watch shows and series then this is one of the best mid-range tablets that one could find in the market. It is also suitable for creative work however, it might not be the right pick for the people who do graphic designing professionally. If you want a bigger screen than your phone but not as large as a standard monitor then this can be a good option without any doubt. When it comes to gaming or optics, there are better options available in the market but then one would also have to increase their budget significantly if they want that. The Lenovo Idea Tab Pro seems more like a budget-friendly all-rounder that can handle everything to a certain extent but if one dives deep into it then the tablet might struggle a bit to live up to the expectations.

The Lenovo Idea Tab Pro is a tablet that knows its audience. It’s not trying to be the most powerful device on the market, nor is it aiming to compete with high-end tablets like the iPad Pro or Samsung Galaxy Tab S9. Instead, it carves out a comfortable niche as a versatile, mid-range tablet that offers a lot of value for its price. It offers a lot of bang for your buck, with a gorgeous display, solid performance, and impressive battery life. While it has some limitations—like average cameras and middling gaming performance—it excels in areas that matter most to its target audience: productivity, media consumption, and everyday use. At a starting price of $350, it’s a compelling option for anyone looking for a versatile, affordable tablet. It’s not perfect, but it’s a great example of how much value you can get in the mid-range segment. If you’re in the market for a tablet that can handle work, play, and everything in between, the Lenovo Idea Tab Pro is definitely worth considering.
