Screen Flickering / PWM (Pulse-Width Modulation)

To dim the screen, some notebooks will simply cycle the backlight on and off in rapid succession - a method called Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) . This cycling frequency should ideally be undetectable to the human eye. If said frequency is too low, users with sensitive eyes may experience strain or headaches or even notice the flickering altogether.

In comparison: 53 % of all tested devices do not use PWM to dim the display. If PWM was detected, an average of 18110 (minimum: 5 - maximum: 3846000) Hz was measured.

Display Response Times

Display response times show how fast the screen is able to change from one color to the next. Slow response times can lead to afterimages and can cause moving objects to appear blurry (ghosting). Gamers of fast-paced 3D titles should pay special attention to fast response times.

三星的Galaxy View是一款与众不同的超大尺寸18.4寸触控平板电脑。它的触控屏幕也是它最引人注目的功能:它的便携性受到高重量、大尺寸和无法简单取下的支架的限制;同时它也受到这个特点的限制,只能在横屏模式使用、没有后置相机。尽管稳定性不错,但由于硬质塑料的材质和粗糙的按键,它的机身使用起来并不是特别舒适。

三星调整了Galaxy View软件的一些部分,它们对于已有的安卓用户界面并没有很大的帮助。它搭配独立的数字键盘区的触控键盘十分实用,而新的主屏幕和格子设计显得不是很精致。用户不能添加新服务也无法移除无用的链接。

它的优势包括高速无线模组,高速microSD卡槽,尽管屏幕很大也有不错的电池续航。这台设备因此主要对多媒体爱好者比较有趣,作为可以一定程度上移动的网络视频播放设备,由于控制界面较大也十分易于使用,也不是总需要连接充电器,能够吸引较小的一个用户群体。

由于较高的重量和较大的尺寸,三星Galaxy View主要为可以接受牺牲功能性和便携性换取大尺寸触控屏幕设计。

如果你可以接受较小的屏幕尺寸,可以考虑一下三星 Galaxy Tab S2 9.7。它更加强大,更轻也更精致,搭配了优秀的AMOLED屏幕,售价也更加实惠。
