只有很窄的一条线隔着惠普EliteBook 745 G3的光亮和阴影。例如，这台笔记本电脑的强项在于高品质机身，出色的输入设备和出色的屏幕（除了色彩还原之外没有什么弱点）。它的应用程序性能也可以十分不错：得利于固态硬盘的帮助，这台笔记本电脑响应迅速，启动时间和加载程序时间都很短。Carrizo APU也提供了足够的日常程序性能，同时如果安装了第二条内存，它甚至可以满足一些对显卡要求较高的程序和（较老的）3D游戏。不过，我们需要指出A12-8800B在处理性能上并没有达到最新i3的水平。

我们对惠普去掉常见的维护底盖和一半的USB接口表示质疑。新增加的USB C型接口可能十分适合以后的使用，不过它无法完全弥补缺失。较短的电池续航和让人失望的摄像头，对于一台超过1000欧元（约7123人民币）的专业笔记本电脑来说并不算好事。
