Reviews for the Xiaomi Poco F7 Ultra
Poco F7 Ultra 是小米公司 2025 年的旗舰产品,它拥有强大的整体配置、多功能摄像头和一些人工智能功能。虽然它可能配不上 "旗舰杀手 "的称号,但它仍然是一款令人印象深刻的智能手机。

Perhaps the title already gave it away, but Poco has rightfully earned that acclaim: Poco F7 Ultra is a clear flagship killer. It packs essential flagship components and works almost like one, but it only wants you to pay half of what it would have cost others. Our only caveat is that the Poco F7 Ultra is not for everyone (but that’s true for any phone). Many users prioritise different needs, like owning known phone brands or having great photography. In contrast, others might believe a phone’s worth lies in its uptime, performance, and day-to-day use. However, that’s exactly why the Poco F7 Ultra offers an interesting package. If you don’t care for brand names and don’t mind having decent but not mind-blowing photography, it’s hard to find another phone that covers it all for so little.

Xiaomi Poco F7 Pro and Poco F7 Ultra are fantastic phones. Both of them push the limits and provide a flagship killer deal. The F7 Pro receives a bigger battery capacity and is offered at a desirable price. On the other hand, the F7 Ultra has faster charging, wireless charging, a powerful chipset, and overall great camera results. The rest of the specs are the same. If you could do without the extra bits of the Ultra model and like to save some money, then the F7 Pro would be a perfect choice. Nevertheless, if you want the full-fledged flagship experience, then the Poco F7 Ultra is a no-brainer. However, if you want to spend your money wisely, consider checking the Realme GT 7 Pro. It might be the best gaming phone in the flagship killer category. As always, the final decision is in your hands, so choose the phone according to your needs.

Short of its high-contrast approach, the Poco F7 Ultra punches above its weight. It's more than what we'd expect from budget flagship price points. It even has some bright spots for its capabilities, like the excellent daytime colourisation, detail retention, and even enough success in low-light conditions. The combination of its price and how it almost measures up to premium alternatives in certain scenarios forces us to entertain thoughts like buying two of such phones rather than one premium device. It's not going to replace what the Xiaomi 15 series of phones can muster, but it makes you reconsider what value could look like if your needs go beyond your own by getting the device in more hands.

Alright – should you buy the POCO F7 Ultra then? Well, I’d say this is a great phone for those who want the latest chipset with the best performance at the lowest price. I mean, seriously – it is priced at only RM2,999, making this the most affordable Snapdragon 8 Elite phone to date. You could also pick up the iQOO 13 at a lower price – but those lower-priced iQOO 13 are using China firmware and the warranty is up in the air. So, if you want a phone with local warranty with the Snapdragon 8 Elite at the lowest price, then the POCO F7 Ultra is your choice. Just that the battery life sucks and the cameras aren’t particularly consistent but hey – it’s still the lowest-priced phone with the Snapdragon 8 Elite.

The Xiaomi Poco F7 Ultra achieves what it sets out to do by offering top-level performance at a price well south of most flagship models. There are other phones out there that achieve broadly similar results with greater refinement – especially in the camera and software departments – but for raw power on a lower budget, the Poco F7 Ultra gets the job done.

We've arrived at the tricky part. The verdict. The Poco F7 Ultra is no doubt a very capable phone and undeniably a proper flagship. It features one of the brightest screens in the industry, the latest and fastest Qualcomm processor, a flexible camera system, and blazing-fast charging. And even though the name Ultra might be a bit of a stretch, placed next to more expensive flagships, such as the Xiaomi 15 from the parent company, the Poco F7 Ultra holds its ground. The tricky part is that at 699 euros, there are a lot of choices out there, including popular and readily available models such as the Pixel 9 and the Galaxy S25. Granted, these are slightly more expensive, but people would probably add a couple of bucks and grab those rather than take a leap of faith and reach for the Poco F7 Ultra. On the other hand, if we look at the Poco as a more affordable alternative to the Xiaomi 15, then this model is a clear winner, scoring the same overall result (7.3) for 300 euros less.

For the most part, I loved my time using the POCO F7 Ultra. It delivers everything we’ve come to expect in a POCO device and then some, thanks to the SD 8 Elite processor it has on board. Is this an Ultra phone, though? I would say that in terms of performance, yes, it is. But, you’re still getting a few compromises to make sure that they can still maintain a fairly aggressive price tag on this phone. If you’re mostly in it for the raw power of a smartphone, I’d say put this on your shortlist if you’re picking out a smartphone this year.

To wrap it all up, the POCO F7 Ultra is a clear statement of what you can get when flagship performance meets aggressive pricing. With its flagship-tier performance thanks to Snapdragon 8 Elite, solid cameras, and added features like IP68 and 50W wireless charging, the F7 Ultra is packing serious value for money. The POCO F7 Ultra sets you back PHP 36,999 for the 12GB+256GB trim, while the 16GB+512GB version goes for PHP 39,999. The brand is also currently running early bird promos until April 3, 2025 - slashing its prices down to PHP 34,999 (12GB+256GB) and PHP 37,999 (16GB+512GB).

POCO always knew how to make phones with great hardware, but its devices didn't have the best cameras. It's changing that with the F7 Ultra; the phone is an all-rounder that delivers the latest Qualcomm silicon, a sizable battery, vibrant OLED with 120Hz refresh, and IP68 ingress protection. But where it stands out against its predecessors is the cameras; POCO finally outfitted high-quality auxiliary lenses in addition to a great main camera, and the phone takes much better photos as a result. It still doesn't quite measure up to the best Chinese phones in this regard, but considering what you pay for the phone, the F7 Ultra is the ultimate value-focused flagship of 2025.

The POCO F7 Ultra is a solid flagship offering with top-tier performance, a stunning display, and a large battery with ultra-fast charging. While the cameras could have been a bit more consistent, they still deliver great results in most conditions. Would we recommend it? Absolutely. The Snapdragon 8 Elite alone makes it worth considering, and with the early bird deal, it’s an even better value.

The POCO F7 Ultra is pretty impressive for its price. And it might just be the cheapest Snapdragon 8 Elite smartphone that you can buy right now. There’s really not much to dislike about the F7 Ultra. For me, my main complaint is the software. I’m not a big fan of HyperOS 2.0, however, that is very subjective. It’s a good software skin that is getting better with every update, it’s just not my cup of tea. I can’t help but think that if the POCO F7 Ultra were available in the US, it might put Samsung and Apple out of business. Because this phone is uber competitive with Samsung and Apple’s latest.

Poco has made an effort to make the F7 Ultra worthy of the name, and in relation to its own phones, it has succeeded. Developing its own GPU, ISP, and software management systems is a big step forward, and the ISP definitely impresses. The phone nails the desirable combination of power and ability, adding in good battery life and very fast charging for a phone ideally suited to demanding every day use. There’s real brand identity in the F7 Ultra, and it’s a far more interesting phone than the F6 Pro. It’s let down by the screen, which isn’t all that different to the one on the old Poco F6 Pro, and stops the phone truly competing with the current best smartphones like the Galaxy S25 Ultra and the OnePlus 13.

As Poco F-series phones go, this one is Ultra alright. It brings a telephoto camera to the lineup and it's a standout performer not just among Pocos (which don't normally have telephotos at all), but among similarly priced competitors. Its cameraphone prowess isn't all-encompassing, like on a 'true flagship', but it's uniquely capable in its context, we think. You may have to learn to live with only a modest ultrawide, selfies are merely alright like on most other Xiaomis, there's no eSIM support (at least on our unit), and sourcing an adapter that can max out the F7 Ultra's charging speed could prove tricky. But these don't sound like dealbreaking offenses to us - maybe just the eSIM bit, and only to a certain crowd. Those aside, the F7 Ultra doesn't have any notable shortcomings. It's got a strong game on the fundamentals - the display is top-notch, charging speed potential is among the best in class, speakers are great, the chipset is plenty powerful. This one is looking like an easy recommendation from us

The Poco F7 Ultra marks a bold move for the brand as it enters the “Ultra” category. Powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite, paired with the dedicated Vision Boost D7 graphics chip, and featuring a vibrant 6.67-inch AMOLED display, the F7 Ultra handles demanding tasks with ease, whether you’re gaming or multitasking. It delivers solid performance while offering well-rounded features like a capable triple-camera system, a distinctive design, and 120W wired and 50W wireless fast charging capabilities. Ultimately, the Poco F7 Ultra is a premium mid-range device that brings impressive features to the table. It excels in gaming, display quality, and performance, while also delivering solid camera capabilities. While it does face stiff competition, it is clear that Poco is pushing its boundaries with this device, setting a new bar for itself and its fans. If you’re in the market for a powerful, well-rounded device that offers a solid performance-to-price ratio, the F7 Ultra is definitely worth considering.

Poco’s latest and greatest is certainly an interesting device – it offers flagship specs in many ways yet lags behind some of the top phones in some key areas. Yet Poco isn’t here to produce expensive top-end devices; that’s for Xiaomi to do and, as we said in our Xiaomi 15 Ultra review, what’s on offer there is exceptional. It’s always tempting to point of what’s missing rather than what’s here, but everything on offer from Poco has to be considered alongside the price point, which at $649/£650 is a complete bargain. As such, the Poco F7 Ultra hits a really sweet spot with premium powerhouse hardware for a modest cost.

With the F7 Ultra coming in at a starting price of £650, as a phone with flagship specs, it beats the Pixel 9 which is priced the same currently on Google's store, it also beats the Galaxy S25 512GB which Samsung wants £959 for at the time of writing. The F7 Ultra is a better phone between these devices given its price and genuine flagship performance. I am sure that most people looking for a phone with the power and speed of a true flagship will not be too concerned about some highlight detail bneing lost in scenes when taking photos, but for those who spend a lot of time taking photos and videos, this will definitely be an issue and I do hope Xiaomi is listening to this feedback, as it will only enhance the potential customer base in the long run and finally we would see a true contender for ultimate flagship phone, without the crazy prices the big three brands out there are wanting these days.

The Poco F7 Ultra is a solid phone for its price point, packing notable processing power, wickedly fast charging and a premium overall feel -- features that help it stand out from similarly priced phones like the Samsung Galaxy S24 FE and the OnePlus 13R. There are slight compromises when it comes to display sharpness, general lag and some camera capabilities, but the pros heavily outweigh any cons. (And, speaking of weighing, I do wish this phone were a little lighter, but that's by no means a dealbreaker.) If you're on the hunt for a phone that isn't going to break the bank but also checks the biggest boxes related to power, battery life and camera, the Poco F7 Ultra is an appealing -- and potentially eye-catching -- choice.

The Poco F7 Ultra marks a huge step for Xiaomi’s once budget brand, Poco. What makes it such a good phone is that it stays true to Poco’s roots – it’s fantastic value – and while the camera is excellent for Poco, it's just competitive in its class, though as a package, the F7 Ultra is one of the easiest phones to recommend right now. Gamers will love the price-to-performance of the Ultra. It feels premium, has a great screen, and packs double the starting storage of the Galaxy S25, plus more RAM, not to mention plenty of software value adds too, which help offset the, at times, busy HyperOS interface. It’s also excellent to see Poco take its camera so far forward by including a versatile telephoto camera.

If you’re seeking flagship-level performance but can only stretch to an upper mid-range budget, it’s hard to think of a better option than the Poco F7 Ultra. It’s superb value for money and delivers a gaming and productivity experience that’s up there with the best phones on the market. It’s only really the cameras that aren’t quite flagship-level. They’re still quite good, and certainly better than most gaming phones, but won’t match handsets such as the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra or Xiaomi 15 Ultra. Otherwise, the screen, battery life and charging speeds are all top notch. It’s a pleasure to use, and so long as you’re not too picky with your photos, you’re in for an excellent time.

In the end, I’m a bit torn with the Poco F7 Ultra. Yes, it’s Poco’s most powerful phone to date, and it has a strong spec sheet. But I don’t think it lives up to that promise of an ‘Ultra’ phone in the way Poco would like you to think. For one, its processor feels like it’s underclocked compared to other Snapdragon 8 Elite phones like the OnePlus 13 and Honor Magic 7 Pro. The 120W charging speeds don’t seem to refill the phone as quickly as it should, and the camera system is inconsistent, and not as strong as what you’d find in the more expensive ‘Ultra’ phones. That’s without mentioning the Wi-Fi connectivity issues I experienced during testing. Still, it delivers on the typical Poco benchmarks.
