Reviews for the OnePlus 13s

80% I’d choose the big battery OnePlus 13s over other small phones, except for this one problem
Source: Stuff TV English EN→zh-CN
Fans of powerful but compact phones have been relatively under-served lately, with Apple, Samsung and Google taking the lion’s share and Xiaomi bringing up the rear. Now you can count OnePlus in the mix as well. The OnePlus 13s stands out from its rivals with simply outstanding battery life, and it’s got serious performance muscle for such a small handset. It gives up a few flagship features, and the two rear cameras aren’t the greatest pairing, but slick software and rapid wired charging go a long way to make up for it.

OnePlus 13s review: Compact flagship phone with smart AI, standout battery
Source: Business Standard English EN→zh-CN
Priced at Rs 59,999 for the 512GB storage variant, the OnePlus 13s stands out as a compact flagship that doesn’t compromise on power, endurance, or user experience. It delivers reliable performance courtesy of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite, excellent thermal management, and smooth gaming—even rivalling larger premium phones in this regard. The addition of thoughtful AI features like AI Call Assistant make the software feel genuinely helpful rather than gimmicky. Its clean design, vibrant AMOLED display, and strong battery life round out the package nicely. While the absence of wireless charging and a few quirks in the camera’s low-light and portrait performance may leave room for refinement, these don’t overshadow the phone’s overall appeal. If you are looking for a performance-focused, compact flagship with intelligent software features and solid all-round capabilities, the OnePlus 13s makes a compelling case.

81% OnePlus 13s Review: Making small phones cool again
Source: Think Digit English EN→zh-CN
The OnePlus 13s doesn’t try to be everything. It’s a compact, performance-driven phone with a fantastic battery, a reliable display, and some helpful AI tricks baked in. If you’re tired of oversized phones and want something fast, balanced, and easy to use day-to-day, this phone will serve you well. But it’s not perfect. The missing ultrawide lens, lack of wireless charging, and slight throttling under extreme load may be dealbreakers for power users. At Rs 54,999, there are other options like the Pixel 9a that trade raw power for cleaner software and better computational photography. All in all, the OnePlus 13s is for users who value comfort and compactness without compromising on speed or battery. It’s not flashy, but it is thoughtful, and in 2025, that might just be enough.

OnePlus 13s Review: A Mini Phone with Mighty Power
Source: Techlusive English EN→zh-CN
OnePlus really gets a lot of things right with their first attempt at a mini flagship. The OnePlus 13s is a powerful device with top-notch specifications and a massive battery. This is the perfect phone for those looking for a smaller-sized device but who don’t want to miss out on the power of a large flagship. There are some compromises like the lack of a wide angle camera, a lower IP65 rating, and the use of USB 2.0, but none of these are deal-breakers. At a starting price of Rs 54,999, this phone packs in a great blend of functionality and comes very close to delivering a flagship-like experience.

82% OnePlus 13s Review: A compact rose without compromise thorns
Source: Tech PP English EN→zh-CN
If you want a compact smartphone with stellar hardware and very good software, the OnePlus 13s stands in a league of its own, with the only real challenge coming in from the slightly lower Google Pixel 9a, which has good cameras and clean Android, but loses out in terms of processing power, selfie cameras and battery life and charging speed (and a charger in the box). Yes, the S25 and iPhone 16/16e are more compact and light, and the Xiaomi 15 serves up better cameras in almost as compact a frame, but they are all more expensive.Yes, compact flagships existed before the OnePlus 13s, but just as the OG OnePlus changed the flagship game with a flagship killer, the OnePlus 13s might have done the same for compact flagships.

OnePlus 13s review: A flagship that balances form, function, and finesse
Source: International Business Times English EN→zh-CN
OnePlus 13s isn’t just another compact phone—it’s a statement that good design, thoughtful software, and real-world performance still matter. It’s for those who don’t want their phone to be the loudest thing in the room, but still want to know it can do everything. In an age of excess, the OnePlus 13s is a lesson in balance.

80% OnePlus 13s review: A compact flagship for modern times
Source: The Indian Express English EN→zh-CN
The OnePlus 13s is an interesting smartphone, not because it’s radically different or trying to upend the market, but because it’s a meaningful device that truly makes a difference. The compact design is thoughtful, and the battery life is amazing. Of course, there are plenty of choices if you want a premium flagship smartphone. I recommend anyone with an older iPhone or Android device to consider the OnePlus 13s, especially if you are looking for a compact phone. It could be a great option.

Source: Gadgetbyte Nepal English EN→zh-CN
So, after spending quality time with the OnePlus 13s, I’ve gotta say I’m seriously impressed. This phone hits that sweet spot between power, portability, and price. For ₹54,999, it offers flagship-level performance without the flagship-level dent in your wallet. Compared to the Galaxy S25 or Xiaomi 15, it feels like a steal. You get a beautiful, compact design, buttery-smooth performance, excellent battery life, and one of the cleanest Android experiences around with OxygenOS 15. The Plus Key is a nice little bonus. If you’re like me and prefer phones that don’t stretch your thumbs (or your jeans pocket), the 13s is a joy to use. But……..my friends, not everything’s perfect. The camera is where this phone stumbles a bit. No ultra-wide lens and a meh 2x telephoto mean it’s not the best choice for photography lovers.

90% OnePlus 13s Review
Source: Exhibit.tech English EN→zh-CN
The OnePlus 13s marks a strong comeback for OnePlus, combining the brand’s hallmark “Never Settle” philosophy with a compact design that’s uncommon in today’s flagship market. Its sleek design, powerful Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, and exceptional battery life make it a standout choice for users who want a premium smartphone that’s easy to carry. The Plus Key adds a layer of customization that enhances usability, and the cameras deliver impressive results. However, the lack of an ultrawide lens and wireless charging are minor drawbacks. During my time with the OnePlus 13s, I found it to be a reliable daily driver. Whether I was gaming, editing photos with AI tools, or binge-watching videos, the phone handled everything with ease.

70% I used the OnePlus 13s for a month — it is the compact iPhone clone you've never wanted
Source: Android Central English EN→zh-CN
I like the idea of the OnePlus 13s; the phone is considerably smaller than the regular OnePlus 13 and 13R, and it just feels good to hold and use. OnePlus isn't shortchanging users with the hardware either, and the device has the same Qualcomm silicon as the regular OnePlus 13. You get the same 50MP camera as the 13R, but there's no wide-angle lens — the 13s has a 2x tele module instead. While the phone has a good in-hand feel, the design is unmistakably iPhone-esque, and I don't like that. Then there's the software; it is frustrating to use, and has far too many bugs and annoyances, with OnePlus turning its attention to buzzword-heavy AI utilities instead of addressing long-standing issues with OxygenOS. There is potential here, but the questionable design along with the software issues make me hesitant to recommend the 13s until OnePlus rolls out an update.

90% OnePlus 13s Review: A Compact, Feature-Packed Powerhouse
Source: NDTV Gadgets English EN→zh-CN
The Snapdragon 8 Elite chip and the 5,800mAh battery are two of the most notable features of the OnePlus 13s, and the handset delivers performance that is on par with its more expensive sibling, the OnePlus 13. The cameras are the only area where the company appears to have cut corners to keep the handset's price low. And that's not necessarily a bad thing — if you're looking for a handset with an ultrawide camera or a more capable telephoto camera, you might want to take a look at the iQOO 13 (Review) or the recently launched Realme GT 7 Pro. If you need a smartphone that runs on iOS, the iPhone 16e (Review) or the older iPhone 15 (Review) also available at around the same price on Flipkart and Amazon.

5% OnePlus 13s hands-on review
Source: GSM Arena English EN→zh-CN
The OnePlus 13s is a neat little package. It is compact and easy to handle with a pleasing design. The display is great and the cameras, at least the ones that are present, perform well. The Snapdragon 8 Elite still packs a punch and the large battery will make it last longer than any other phone in this size category. But while the OnePlus 13s is a lot of things, it isn't a flagship. Like an ill-conceived RPG build, the OnePlus 13s blows all its points on two stats while ignoring the rest. The phone appears to be built almost entirely around the concept of a big chip and big battery in a compact body, and many compromises had to be made along the way to achieve that.

85% OnePlus 13s review: This small phone delivers big on every front
Source: India Today English EN→zh-CN
With the 13s, OnePlus has shown that big things can indeed come in small packages without compromising on essential features like battery life or performance. While its cameras are merely serviceable, its exceptional battery endurance, sustained high performance, innovative AI features, and user-friendly design make it an undisputed champion for anyone seeking a powerful, comfortable-to-hold phone that truly delivers on the promise of an “ultra-phone without the ultra-size." If you've been yearning for a top-tier smartphone that doesn't feel like a burden in your pocket, the OnePlus 13s is unequivocally the phone to buy. It starts at Rs 54,999 for the base variant with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage, while the top-end model with 12GB RAM and 512GB storage will set you back by Rs 59,999 - which is significantly more affordable than the iPhone 16 and Galaxy S25.

OnePlus 13s Review – Smaller Size, Zero Compromise
Source: Mobygyaan English EN→zh-CN
The OnePlus 13s is a smartly designed flagship-lite offering that strikes a perfect balance between premium performance, compact form factor, and next-gen AI-driven utility. The compact 6.32-inch display is the perfect fit in the hand, and it retains high-end 1.5K+ resolution and 10-bit color depth, giving you a rich and fluid visual experience. With its matte-finished glass back, aluminium frame, the OnePlus 13s feels every bit premium in the hand. Powered by the high-end Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC, Adreno 830 GPU, 12 GB LPDDR5X RAM, and 512 GB UFS 4.0 storage, the OnePlus 13S is no slouch when it comes to multitasking, high-end gaming, and performance-intensive applications. Battery life is another strong suit – the 5,850 mAh cell powers through a full day and more, and it is backed by a fast 80W SUPERVOOC charging.

80% Oneplus 13S Review: Compact Flagship Phone Duels Diminutive Competition
Source: Slashgear English EN→zh-CN
The OnePlus 13s is what I'd describe as "weirdly good." It's not going to wow you at first glance, but it slowly grows on you. You realize the perks of its compact form factor as you spend a few days with it. Similar is the situation with the battery mileage and the speedy 80W charging. The 120Hz OLED screen serves its purpose just fine, even if you're wearing gloves or there are liquid droplets on the screen. It's a fuss-free performer, thanks to a top-tier silicon. OxygenOS 15, on the other hand, is snappy as usual, with its own set of unique benefits. The Mind Space is one of the most practical AI features I have used so far. For its asking price, the OnePlus 13s surpasses the basics, but not without a few stutters. The camera hardware is powerful, but it could use some tuning to really shine. The lack of wireless charging will be missed, while the ingress protection could've been better.
