可能不是所有人都会喜欢它略有些工业气息的设计——不过我们认为Venue 8 7000是一款非常出色的平板电脑。它超薄的锐利机身的工艺精湛,采用了坚固的高端材质。它的硬件也不逊色,为工作和娱乐都提供了不错的性能。遗憾的是,戴尔没有为这款产品提供大于16GB的eMMC闪存空间,不过用户至少还有最大支持512GB的MicroSD卡槽可供扩展。它在人体工程学方面有得有失,由于超薄的边框,这款平板在握持时很难避免不碰到屏幕边缘而误操作。

它的OLED屏幕面板分辨率为2560x1600像素,这让屏幕显示字体有时候小到了难以看清的程度。它的最大亮度由于采用了OLED技术而明显低于我们所期待的水平,它的对比度是无穷大,仍可在较亮的环境下实际使用。它的色彩看上去十分绚丽养眼,不过这并不代表它的色彩还原很准确,如果与专业色域如sRGB等进行比较的话它还有改进的空间。这款平板在使用中无论多高的负载都不会变烫,且电池续航可以应付一天的使用。英特尔的RealSense技术,由一个800万像素主相机和两个720p立体相机组成,可以正常使用。可以在拍照之后改变对焦点或测量一个东西的高度听起来很酷,不过究竟会有多少用户可以在新奇过后的实际使用中用到这些功能还有待观察。

遗憾的是,我们无法测试Dell Cast转接器,因为我们没能成功让它们连接上。大多数在家有显示器的用户可能仍会使用笔记本或台式机,不过对于需要做简报的商务用户来说这项技术可能会是个不错的解决方案。

整体上,戴尔Venue 8 7000是个十分有竞争力的选择,尽管售价较高也仍物有所值——特别是相比全塑料机身的8.9寸谷歌Nexus 9。三星Galaxy Tab S 8.4提供了相似的性能,价格也十分相近,不过它的屏幕更加出色。Apple的7.9寸iPad Mini 3对于喜欢iOS而非安卓的用户来说仍然是更受欢迎的选择。
