如果你想要把15.6寸的笔记本和平板合二为一的话恐怕需要做些妥协——至少对于华硕Transformer Book Flip TP500LN和我们已经评测过的一些设备来说是这样的。如果它能有更明亮的屏幕，更坚固的机身和更好的扬声器的话，它的评分至少会高于“一般”的水平。
华硕的这款15.6寸变形本当然也有优势：首先是它的独立显卡，这让Transformer Book Flip TP500LN成为了一款适合于运行游戏的变形本。这块显卡对于全高清的分辨率来说有些力不从心，可能需要降低细节设定。同时它还配备了千兆以太网卡和很多的其他接口。
不过，它也有很多方面的设计缺乏考虑，或者节省了成本：摄像头的质量较差，维护升级的可能几乎为零，它的触控屏幕在响应上较差，而键盘的塑料材质给人一种廉价的感觉。
最后，华硕的Transformer Book Flip TP500LN可能实现了它的定位：一款实用的主流设备，有优势也有缺陷，不过相对高端的变形本售价更低廉。不过，很遗憾的是一些细节的改进可能会让它给人更加深刻的印象。这款变形本可能适合于口袋紧张且很少在户外使用平板，而比较注重性能和美观机身的用户考虑选择。
