EN→zh-CNFor my money, I still prefer the Pixel 10a when it comes to mid-range Android phones. But the Galaxy A37 isn't far behind and it comes with some nice bonuses you won't get from Google's handset. For people who prefer larger devices, Samsung's 6.7-inch OLED panel gives you more room to work (or play) with. And despite actually having a slightly smaller battery, the A37 offers just a bit more longevity, plus faster wired charging when you need to top it off before running out the door. On the other hand, the Pixel 10a has a more premium design (including a perfectly flat back), better image quality and a nicer UI with a wider range of AI-powered software. But it also costs $499 instead of $450. So while it wouldn't be my first choice, Galaxy A37 is certainly worth checking out for anyone that's been feeling beat up by rising costs and is simply looking for an affordable, well-made all-rounder.

EN→zh-CNThe Samsung Galaxy A37 smartphone is a more than capable device and aimed at those customers who are looking for features and quality without breaking the bank. The A37 easily fits the bill. The mid-tier smartphone market is a very popular one and the devices at this level offer more features and value than ever and an impressive example is Samsung’s new Galaxy A37. Sure, we all know the flagship Galaxy S series but these have flagship features to go with its flagship pricing. The Samsung Galaxy A series is more affordable and while it doesn’t have all the speed, power and performance of the S-series, it still has its fair share of features that meet everyone’s needs.

EN→zh-CNThe Samsung Galaxy A37 features a conservative, balanced set of upgrades that include a slightly larger and brighter Super AMOLED display, improved performance, faster charging, upgraded IP68 dust and water resistance in a slimmer and thinner chassis and the addition of a respectable six years of OS and security updates.

EN→zh-CNThe Samsung Galaxy A37 and A57 are two closely related smartphones in terms of overall concept, but they follow different usage strategies. The A37 is positioned as a balanced and practical option for everyday tasks, while the A57 offers additional performance headroom, higher-grade materials, and somewhat broader photo and video capabilities. The choice between them comes down to a straightforward trade-off: cost efficiency without sacrificing the core user experience, or investing in additional comfort, performance, and longer-term headroom.

The Galaxy A37 and A57 are the core pillars of Samsung’s mid-range lineup for 2026. While both have similar specs, they differ significantly in processing power and some other features as well. We’ve tested both to see if the advantages of the more premium A57 justify the higher price tag.

EN→zh-CNYou can’t ask for much more from a $600 phone. While the Samsung Galaxy A37 isn’t the most exciting device, it doesn’t throw any nasty surprises at you. To use a sports analogy: the Galaxy A37 is a role player. Reliable and trustworthy, it specialises in getting the fundamentals right, rather than putting its name in lights. It has a great display, a good battery life, and Samsung’s promise of six years’ worth of operating system and security updates. For $50 more than last year’s model, the improvements may not be drastic, yet they’re subtly beneficial for day-to-day use. Like all role players, the Samsung Galaxy A37 has its place on any team in need of an unassuming but hardworking contributor.

EN→zh-CNThe Samsung Galaxy A57 and Galaxy A37 are fine devices for the asking price. However, the steep pricing, relative to the hardware on offer, does not make them the most value-for-money handsets in their respective price ranges. However, people who are part of the Samsung ecosystem and have familiarised themselves with how OneUI feels to use can definitely consider either of the two. Coming back to the question I began with, can they give the competition from Chinese OEMs a run for their money? The simple answer is no. Phones from OnePlus, Realme, and Xiaomi have leaped far ahead in offering much greater value. Hence, for people who want to stay associated with the Samsung brand name, which definitely holds a much greater value in people's eyes, the Samsung Galaxy A37 is a decent offering. However, if you prioritise performance and battery life, the OnePlus Nord 6 is a superior device. On the other hand, the Samsung Galaxy S25 FE is a far better phone in most respects than the Galaxy A57, offering an enhanced software experience, improved performance, and better cameras, along with the Samsung Galaxy S series brand.

EN→zh-CNSo then we reach to the end. Should you buy the Samsung Galaxy A37? Let’s ignore all the official launch and promotional pricing and we’ll take a look at the retail market. From what I can find out, Samsung themselves are already discounting the A37 down to around RM1,400, but that’s for the 8GB RAM variant. The 12GB variant is around RM1,600. You can basically save around RM200 for 4GB less RAM. It won’t affect the gaming performance since they’re all LPDDR5X RAM speed, but multitasking will be a bit more… rough. Looking at the big picture, the Galaxy A37, at the price of around RM1,600 is actually right in line with the realme 16 Pro and undercuts the vivo V70 FE that we’ve reviewed a few weeks ago. The A37 is a competitive alternative to those two phones – and I’d say the cameras on the A37 is actually better than those two phones, and One UI just seals the deal for me.

EN→zh-CNThe Samsung Galaxy A57 and Galaxy A37 smartphones are a good choice for users who want Samsung but are not ready to pay for flagships. The smartphones are equipped with high-quality AMOLED screens, they have a modern appearance and IP68 protection, good battery life, loud stereo speakers, high-quality main cameras, as well as a comfortable, stable shell with a long support and update period. But so far, the price of both models is somewhat overpriced, so there are quite strong competitors offering more powerful processors, larger batteries and more versatile camera sets with telephoto modules, ultra-wide-angle cameras with autofocus. First of all, these are Motorola and Xiaomi/POCO models. But you can also look towards last year's line, which has already dropped in price, offers almost everything the same, but for the same money you can buy a smartphone with more memory.

EN→zh-CNThe Galaxy A37 is not a bad phone. It gets most of the basics right. It has a large and bright display, reliable speakers, and a dependable fingerprint reader. The primary and front cameras deliver good results, and battery life is strong. If you are upgrading from a phone like the Galaxy A34 or the Galaxy A35, the Galaxy A37 is a good choice. However, at $449 for the 128GB variant, it sits too close to Samsung’s Fan Edition lineup. The Galaxy S25 FE costs about $100 more when it's on discount (which is often) and offers double the storage, while the 128GB version can be had for just $480. The Galaxy S24 FE is often available for around $490 with 256GB storage. With those FE models, you get significantly better performance, more versatile cameras including a dedicated 3x telephoto lens, and access to advanced AI features. We would advise you to wait for a couple of months so that the Galaxy A37 can be had for at least $50 less.

The Samsung Galaxy A37 enters the mid-range market with an upgraded IP68 rating and a larger 50MP main sensor. While it offers a bright 120Hz OLED and improved battery life, the recycled Exynos 1480 chipset struggles to justify the steep price hike. Is this a worthy successor or a tough sell against its own predecessors? Check out our video review to learn ALL YOU NEED TO KNOW about the phone's top features, build and screen quality, battery life, performance, and camera image quality.

EN→zh-CNThe Samsung Galaxy A37 is a very easy phone to like, but a much harder one to wholeheartedly recommend. It checks most of the important boxes for a modern midranger - a bright and smooth AMOLED display, solid build with proper ingress protection, dependable battery life, and a mature, feature-rich software experience with class-leading long-term support. The problem isn't what the Galaxy A37 does wrong - it's what it doesn't do at all. This is yet another iteration that feels more like a refinement than a real upgrade. Performance is merely adequate and noticeably behind some of its direct rivals, charging speeds are decent but far from class-leading, and the feature set hasn't meaningfully evolved. Even the camera system, while perfectly serviceable, lacks any real ambition. And then there's the elephant in the room - internal competition. With devices like the Galaxy A56 offering better performance and similar longevity at a lower price, the A37 ends up in an awkward position. It leans heavily on Samsung's ecosystem, software polish, and brand recognition, but those alone might not be enough this time around. Ultimately, the Galaxy A37 is a safe, predictable choice. If you value stability, long-term updates, and a familiar One UI experience, it will serve you well. But if you are chasing value or cutting-edge features in the midrange segment, there are simply more compelling options out there - sometimes even within Samsung's own lineup.

EN→zh-CNSamsung is bringing the Galaxy A37 to life in April 2026, and it is shaping up to be a solid mid-range contender. The phone rocks a large 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display with a smooth 120Hz refresh rate, so scrolling through social media or playing games feels noticeably fluid. It gets bright too, up to 1,200 nits in everyday use and 1,900 nits at peak, which means you can actually see the screen outdoors on a sunny day. The design is slim (just 7.4mm thick) and light (196g), with Gorilla Glass Victus+ on both the front and back, though the frame is plastic. Plus, it is IP68 rated, so it can survive a dip in 1.5 meters of water for 30 minutes. No headphone jack, but you do get stereo speakers that tested pretty well for loudness. Inside, the Galaxy A37 runs on Samsung’s own Exynos 1480 chip (built on a 4nm process), paired with either 6GB, 8GB, or 12GB of RAM depending on the storage option (128GB or 256GB). There is no microSD card slot, so pick your storage wisely.

EN→zh-CNThe Galaxy A37 5G isn’t made to wow you right away. It doesn’t stand out in terms of numbers for performance, battery size or camera features.Instead, it provides a consistent experience with a sturdy build, reliable display, long-term software support and a camera suitable for daily use. If you seek a phone that remains reliable over time and does not require frequent replacement, well, Galaxy A37 5G is a sensible choice. However, if you want better raw performance you can consider Galaxy A57.In a market where specs usually matter most, the Galaxy A37 stands out by focusing on how it feels and performs over the long run, not just in the first few days.

EN→zh-CNThe Samsung Galaxy A37 aims to be a dependable phone in 2026, focusing on software longevity, a bright AMOLED display, solid gaming performance, and all-day battery life. While it has some design compromises and an average low-light camera, the 6-year update promise and Samsung’s strong after-sales service in India make it a solid choice. For those seeking sleek aesthetics and faster charging, consider the Vivo T4x or Xiaomi Redmi Note 15 Pro. However, if you prefer staying within the Samsung ecosystem and value future-proofing on a budget, the Galaxy A37 is a great recommendation. It’s not groundbreaking but practical.

EN→zh-CNLook, there is no getting around the fact that this is a massive price jump for an A3x device. But once you actually hold the thing, all of it starts making sense. For starters, the Galaxy A37 shares enough DNA with the S26 series that it doesn’t feel like an ‘affordable’ alternative anymore. Also, between the IP68 rating and a display that’s genuinely great for content consumption, the Galaxy A37 feels solid and premium in a way that many mid-rangers usually don’t. Of course, if raw benchmark scores are something that matters to you most, then you’ll find faster Chinese handsets that offer more ‘bang for your buck’ on paper. But for most of the folks out there, the Galaxy A37 is simply the reliable pick that won’t give you a headache. The One UI software experience is clean, the main camera is surprisingly consistent, and the battery life easily gets me through a full day. In short, the Galaxy A37 is a polished, predictable daily driver that’s easy to live with, if your wallet can stomach the new normal.

EN→zh-CNComing at Rs 41,999, the Samsung Galaxy A37 gets several things right. To name a few, it sports an elegant design and build that doesn’t cause discomfort when held for prolonged durations, a flagship-grade front and back glass protection in the form of Corning Gorilla Glass Victus+, which actually keeps scratches at bay even during rough use, and a mature and feature-rich software that will be supported for years. While the 50MP primary camera can produce poppy images using fast shutter speeds, perfect for pushing out on social media, the ultrawide requires improvements in terms of details. Surprisingly, the 5MP macro can click decent-looking images in daylight as long as you don’t pixel peep. On the other hand, the 12MP outputs contrasty tones, ideal for most scenarios. Moving on, the performance hardware of the Galaxy A37 isn’t class-leading, but it should be able to keep up with light to moderate usage, such as running social media apps, multitasking between apps, and capturing camera clicks. Similarly, the 5,000mAh battery, which doesn’t seem huge on paper, should offer enough endurance for a whole working day. If you’re in the market for a phone that prioritises high-end gaming and exceptionally strong battery life, shelling out extra for the POCO X8 Pro Max and iQOO 15R could be well worth it.

The price may have taken a slight bump with one of these mid-range Galaxy phones, while the cheaper model needs an upgrade to match the A36's storage. However, you do get a few improvements with the Samsung A57 and A37, including new Exynos brains and improved water resistance. Here's the full skinny on that battery tech, as well as the camera setup. If you're hoping for much of a hardware upgrade for the Samsung Galaxy A57, prepare for disappointment. Of course, the image processing has been tweaked while the NPU is more powerful, so hopefully that will have an impact.

EN→zh-CNThere's a lot to like about both the Galaxy A57 and the Galaxy A37. Both are smart-looking phones with large batteries, fast charging and some solid camera hardware hiding under the surface. Not to mention the fact that Samsung has added a lot of new AI features that you would otherwise only be able to get on the Galaxy S26 series. The fact that Samsung has increased the price still stings, especially since it seems to be affecting the American market more than the U.K. For the extra money, you'd hope Samsung would offer a little bit more of a substantial upgrade, but that isn't the case, especially not for the Galaxy A57.

EN→zh-CNBoth the A37 and A57 will inevitably sell like hot cakes, despite not much changing this year, and that’s okay. We really liked the A56 last year and this year’s phones are slightly better. And software support remains excellent, with six years of security updates and six generations of OS updates baked in. The only problem these phones have, really, is that the competition is that bit stronger, with the Nothing Phone (4a) Pro, in particular, offering a more interesting look and including an optical telephoto camera in the mix for less money.

EN→zh-CNThe Galaxy A37 5G is a solid, dependable mid-range phone. It does everything you expect, no more, no less. The Galaxy A57 5G, however, is where Samsung is clearly pushing boundaries. If you just want a reliable smartphone, the A37 is enough. But if you want something that feels closer to a flagship without paying flagship prices, the Galaxy A57 5G is the obvious choice. Bank offers include Rs 3,000 bank/UPI cashback, 24m no-cost EMI and Rs 3,000 upgrade bonus.
