Cons
就像微星GS65和华硕ROG GL504标志着15英寸窄边框游戏本的开始一样,GL704标志着17英寸窄边框游戏本的开始。它为其他厂商开了一个先河,他们会在未来想方设法地打破这个7毫米边框的记录,去摒弃17.3英寸游戏本必须傻大黑粗的理念。
作为华硕首款窄边框17英寸笔记本,GL704做的很得体。做工和坚固程度仍然是一流的,尽管采用窄边框设计,与GS73和GX501相比,GL704盖子四周却更加坚固。它的键盘和触摸板有着很好的按压反馈,面板做工也很优秀,GL704证明了一块144赫兹5ms响应的高端IPS屏幕并不需要与厚边框共存。华硕甚至将i7-8750H的性能相较GL703GM又提升了10-12%。
不过,还是有那么几个缺点的。首先,在游戏或是高负荷工作下,风扇噪音要比预期的大。不要对安静的游戏环境抱有期待,但风扇噪音应该保持在一个合理的水平,不然可能影响游戏体验。其他的缺点还包括雷电3,每键RGB,和更强GPU选项的缺失,这使得14999的起售价变得难以接受。GTX 1070 Max-Q与144赫兹屏幕的组合会更合适,但这种选择目前仅限于Zephyrus系列。GL704GM的竞品,例如微星GF72,惠普暗影精灵4Plus和宏碁Predator Helios 300,价格都要便宜许多,但我们仍然认为多出的价格对于窄边框和优秀的做工来说还是值得的。
