Lenovo’s ThinkPad X13 continues to set the bar for corporate travelers. The Gen 6 Intel variant delivers excellent stamina, brisk everyday performance, and a level of practicality that belies its size. Its compact footprint and featherweight build come with no meaningful compromises—the ports, the connectivity, and Lenovo’s always-excellent input devices remain intact. Lenovo’s ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 13 Aura Edition still holds our spotlight as the premier business machine, but travelers may find the X13’s smaller frame and slightly better battery life a more compelling combination, even without the X1’s OLED panel. Indeed, we can't deny this machine an award, in the shadow of its prodigy of a sibling. A sublime ultralight, the ThinkPad X13 earns a well-deserved Editors' Choice designation among premium business ultraportables.

The ThinkPad X13 Gen 6 can be found in Lenovo's own-brand store or at other outlets like Amazon (in Lenovo's Amazon store in similar configurations). As reviewed the laptop checks in at around $1,919 and change. That's a lot for a laptop like this. For me, the size and portability are great. For others it might be a tougher sell. A 13.3-inch screen is small, a 55 Wh battery is small, the trackpad is small, everything about this laptop is small, except presumably, the price. Don't get me wrong, nearly-$2,000 isn't an out-of-the-question price to pay for a laptop, but it just feels like a laptop with this size, these build materials, and these specifications shouldn't command a price quite this high — not for your average user's needs.
