EN→zh-CNWith all other mid-range tablets featuring LCD panels, the OLED-toting MagicPad 2 has a distinct advantage in this area. The rich colors and excellent contrast of the OLED panel make the tablet a delight when it comes to streaming TV shows and movies, and with eight audio drivers in total, you get powerful built-in sound. The design itself is sleek considering the size of the tablet, and you get decent internals under the hood and great battery life. The only issue is that it will get a solitary software update, but even accounting for that, the MagicPad 2 is the best mid-range tablet around.

EN→zh-CNThe Honor MagicPad 2 represents excellent value for what you pay for as it hosts an exceptionally vibrant and responsive 144Hz OLED display, a robust chassis reinforced by glass fibre, solid overall performance for work and productivity tasks and a bundled keyboard case as well as a stylus too. At RM2,799, the Honor MagicPad2 represents excellent value for what it offers with its luscious 144Hz OLED display, solid performance, modicum of AI capabilities and endurance with its bundled stylus and keyboard case further adding to its value proposition.

EN→zh-CNEven still, I’m ultimately impressed with the Magic Pad 2. Honor’s latest take on the Android tablet pairs powerful hardware with a tidy software package and looks really quite sublime while doing it. The AI features are handy but not overbearing, and I’m thankful Honor hasn’t found a reason to push a full generative AI chatbot into its products – not yet, at least. The only real downside is the lack of software support, which might make some think twice. If you want more longevity, the OnePlus Pad 2 goes for the same £500 and is set for three years of OS updates and four years of security patches. Otherwise, there’s very little to dislike about the Magic Pad 2; between the price and the performance, it’s a cracking bit of hardware.

EN→zh-CNThe Honor Magic Pad 2 offers an impressive value-for-money proposition in the Android tablet market. Its 12.3-inch OLED display with 144Hz refresh rate is undoubtedly one of the best screens you’ll find in this price range, making it ideal for media consumption, gaming, and light productivity. The Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset and 12GB of RAM deliver smooth performance, ensuring that the tablet can handle multiple tasks without lag. While the lack of an IP rating and the absence of a trackpad in the keyboard case may limit its functionality for some users, the bundled Magic Pencil 3 and Smart Bluetooth Keyboard provide excellent value for those looking for a capable tablet at a reasonable price. Whether you’re a student, professional, or casual user, the Honor MagicPad 2 is a well-rounded option.

EN→zh-CNThe Honor MagicPad 2 seems to be a jack of all trades. It's not cheap, but it brings a lot to the table too. The highlights are the gorgeous OLED screen and the amazing speakers. Additionally, the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 provides plenty of horsepower for productivity, multi-tasking and maybe even gaming. The attachable keyboard and the stylus pen are excellent additions that help turn the tablet into a productivity-oriented device. Battery life and fast charging are both reliable enough and the neat software features complement the tablet's previously mentioned capabilities. There's one thing we don't get, though, and that's the absence of a fingerprint reader. This is a big omission in our books.

EN→zh-CNThere’s a lot to like about the Honor MagicPad 2. A sleek design hosts a gorgeous OLED display, supports accessories that add meaningful value to the user experience and packs plenty of power for everyday tasks, with a flair for media consumption. MagicOS 8 is brimming with features, boasts some genuinely useful AI-backed experiences and is great for file sharing, especially across the Honor ecosystem. Some rough edges on the UX and disappointing long-term software support are all that really hold the MagicPad 2 back from true tablet greatness. It’s still easy enough to recommend, considering the price.

EN→zh-CNThe Honor MagicPad 2 is an excellent tablet in its price range. It performs well, offers a stunning screen, and boasts premium build quality, all for less than an equivalent Samsung or Apple tablet. Of course, you have to live in a region where it’s available to get it, but if you do and you’re looking for a flagship-level Android tablet at less than a flagship price, the Honor MagicPad 2 is the way to go.

EN→zh-CNThis is a solid high-end tablet and I would recommend it to anyone. Honor seems to be going to war with the big boys in terms of design, quality, and pricing — so naturally there are options from both Apple and Samsung at the €599 (roughly $660) price point Honor has picked. Having used both an iPad Air and Honor's MagicPad 2 at home, and messed around with various Samsung Galaxy Tabs at trade shows, I genuinely prefer Honor's effort and could probably argue ways in which it can give an iPad Pro a run for its money. In summary, the display is beautiful, the speakers are superb, the office tools are class-leading, battery life is abundant, and the accessories enhance the experience — even if they do have their faults.

EN→zh-CNThe Honor MagicPad 2 is a very serious contender in the flagship tablet market. It manages to do a lot of things right: it has a gorgeous OLED screen that can go up to 144Hz, the design is sleek and stylish, and the build quality is top-notch. The chipset inside is quite powerful, and even though it's not the regular 8 Gen 3, the "s" variant gets the job done. The software has some nice AI additions that won't leave you breathless, but what they'll do is help you get things actually done. The battery life is solid, and the price is competitive as well.

EN→zh-CNThere is a lot to like about the Honor MagicPad 3, particularly its keyboard, pencil, and battery life. However, in comparison to the OnePlus Pad 3 and the iPad Pro, it does fall short when it comes to CPU power and display quality. For business use, it is an acceptable laptop replacement, provided you're not going to use it for intensive workloads or image or video editing. But it is light enough to carry around, slim enough for your average backpack, and strong enough to last well beyond the average workday.

EN→zh-CNShould you buy the HONOR MagicPad 3? Well, yes, actually. If it’s within your budget, you’ll hardly find a better tablet. This one offers great performance, great build quality, outstanding battery life, and a great case that you can get for it, amongst other things. MagicOS 9.0.1 is a great UI to have on the tablet, and there’s really not much we can complain about here. Yes, an OLED display would be a better option in terms of color accuracy, but the one we have here is great regardless, and 99% of you won’t really care. Yes, the cameras could be better, but that’s arguably the least important aspect of a tablet. Everything that matters here is… well, great. This is an easy recommendation.

EN→zh-CNThe HONOR MagicPad 3 is priced at £599 in the UK (around $800), though HONOR frequently runs promotions that drop it to £499. At launch, buyers also got the keyboard and stylus for free, which makes the value proposition much better. Without those freebies, you’re paying full price for a tablet that’s missing some features you’d expect at this price point. If you prioritize battery life and screen size above all else, the MagicPad 3 delivers. The performance is solid, the speakers are great, and that battery life is genuinely impressive. But the switch from OLED to LCD and the limited software support are tough pills to swallow. Competitors like the OnePlus Pad 3 offer newer processors and better displays for similar or lower prices. Samsung’s tablets provide longer software support, even if they cost more.

EN→zh-CNThe Honor MagicPad 3 delivers a luxury Android tablet experience without the high-end price tag. Its slim and lightweight design makes it easy to take on the go, perfect if you want to watch your favorite shows on its gorgeous 3.2K screen. Pair this portability with the well-designed keyboard case and you have a tablet that’s ideal for productivity too, especially when you factor in the incredible battery life. Now, with its enormous silicon carbon battery, one of the best bits of this slender Android tablet is that excellent longevity. You can muck about with three or four apps and stream video simultaneously and still enjoy over ten hours of action. Plus, the Honor MagicPad 3's fast charge support makes it a champion in the battery life realm. That LCD screen may not be OLED tech but it's still pleasingly crisp with respectable HDR output, and it's bright enough to use outdoors if you can avoid direct sunlight. Sadly the audio output isn't as thrilling. Despite boasting eight speakers, the Honor MagicPad 3 could use a bass and volume boost.

EN→zh-CNThe Honor MagicPad 3 offers good value for money considering the screen size, power and the formidable battery. Bundled in with that keyboard and pencil it’s a great offer: once those offers expire and this tablet returns to full price, it will face tough competition from the OnePlus Pad 3. I’ve enjoyed working and watching on the MagicPad 3 and while the loss of an OLED display is a shame, I think there’s enough to compensate for that. At the same time, Honor was the cheap OLED tablet of choice with the MagicPad 2; that distinction has now gone and there’s a little less to help Honor’s tablet stand out among the best tablets on offer.

EN→zh-CNBoth the OnePlus Pad 3 and the iPad Air are better choices if you want to get the most powerful performance for your money, but neither gets you the keyboard case and stylus for as little money as the Honor Magic Pad 3. Plus, the Honor is still a nippy performer, and will likely be plenty fast for most users. Beyond that, it offers some of the best battery life of any tablet around and an impressive seven years of software support, so it will last you a good long time in more ways than one. It’s still a shame that Honor chose to revert from OLED to LCD for the display, but there’s no denying that the Magic Pad 3 offers more than enough quality to make up for it.

The Honor MagicPad 3 is going to get a lot of flack. I already know -- because it offers an LCD panel after last generation used an OLED display. But to be fair, this LCD panel is excellent, gets up to 165Hz in refresh rate, and the rest of the tablet improves everywhere, including the keyboard which now has a large trackpad.

EN→zh-CNThe Honor MagicPad 3 Pro 13.3 was announced on October 15, 2025, and released shortly after on October 23. It is clearly aimed at users who want a premium Android tablet for work, media, and creativity. The tablet feels modern and slim with a metal body that is just 5.8 mm thick, even though it houses a large display and battery. Weighing 595 grams, it is light for its size and easy to handle for long sessions. Stylus support makes it useful for note-taking and drawing, while the large screen and thin bezels give it a clean, professional look. The highlight of the MagicPad 3 Pro is its 13.3-inch IPS LCD display. It offers a sharp 2136 × 3200 resolution with a 3:2 aspect ratio and around 289 ppi pixel density, which is great for reading, browsing, and multitasking.

EN→zh-CNGenerally speaking, I like the Honor MagicPad 4. It’s a superbly put together all-round productivity tablet. It’s fast, the screen is beautiful and battery life is excellent. You even get a selection of reasonably useful software tools included – I particularly liked the ability to share files quickly with an iPhones, MacBooks and iPads. Is it a superior tablet than the iPad Pro? No, but it is a lot cheaper and the hardware is competitive. Is it better value than cheaper Android-based tablets such as the just-launched Xiaomi Pad 8? Not really, but it is a faster perfomer, it’s lighter and thinner, and it has a larger, more luxurious OLED display. In the end, however, it really depends what you want.

EN→zh-CNThe HONOR MagicPad 4 is one of the best Android tablets I’ve used in a long time, and honestly, it might be the best one available right now that isn’t made by Samsung or Apple. Think about what you’re getting here. A stunning OLED display that’s genuinely comfortable to stare at for hours, eight speakers that’ll make you question why you ever watched anything on a phone, a Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 that chews through everything you throw at it, and a PC Mode that actually makes you feel like you could leave your laptop at home. I nearly did. But if you can get your hands on one, the HONOR MagicPad 4 is absolutely worth considering. And that’s the real thing here.

EN→zh-CNThe Honor MagicPad 4 is a very well-equipped Android tablet for the money being asked. For around the price of a Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 FE+ or an iPad Air, you’re getting a slick OLED display and near-flagship performance. It’s all wrapped up in one of the slimmest tablet bodies around. There are weaknesses relating to software, including a cluttered UI and excessive bloatware, and the optional accessories aren’t the best of their kind. Despite the downsides, the Honor MagicPad 4 is one of the finest Android tablets in its class.

EN→zh-CNWithout that OLED screen, the MagicPad 4 would be a capable if modest generational upgrade, with the power you’d expect for the cash and a decent selection of productivity-minded accessories. Instead, Honor has equipped its tablet with a gorgeous panel that instantly makes it a great choice for telly addicts. The fact it’s so astonishingly thin is a bonus. I’d still like to see Honor do its own thing on the software front, rather than borrow so liberally from Apple’s Liquid Glass, and with no backlight or floating hinge the optional keyboard lacks a bit of the Xiaomi Pad 8’s wow factor. Android still wouldn’t be my first pick for a tablet meant to get serious work done, either. For sheer entertainment value, though, you’re getting a lot of bang for your buck here.

EN→zh-CNThe HONOR MagicPad4 nails the parts of tablet life that actually matter day to day. It is exceptionally portable, the 12.3-inch 165Hz OLED is excellent for reading and media, and the eight-speaker setup helps it feel more immersive than most thin tablets. With the keyboard attached, PC Mode and floating windows make it feel closer to a small laptop than a typical Android tablet. The compromises are more about the physical keyboard experience and long-term ownership than the software itself. The keyboard is convenient and flexible, but the shallow key travel and slightly wobbly lap use remind you that it is still a tablet-first setup. Honor also does not say much about sustainability, and the promised two major OS updates and four years of security patches are not class-leading, so it is worth weighing if you plan to keep the tablet for many years.

EN→zh-CNHonor has pulled the covers from its latest Android tablet, the MagicPad 4. Billed as “the world’s slimmest tablet”, the MagicPad 4 looks to be a significant improvement over its predecessor the MagicPad 3 – one of our favourite Android tablets of 2025. I’ll be in Barcelona covering Mobile World Congress (MWC) in a few days time, where I’ll hopefully have the chance to see this super-slim tablet in the flesh. In the meantime, however, here’s everything we know so far about the Honor MagicPad 4.
