来自Acer的两款最新游戏笔记本电脑，Predator 15和我们的测试机Predator 17，在很多方面都非常相似，因此我们得到的结论也十分相近。除了设计，这台17寸设备的尺寸和重量也十分引人侧目。性能相近的竞争对手都采用了更轻更小的机身。这主要是由于散热系统的设计，但它仍然很难让我们满意。它的部件可以保证清凉，不过风扇的噪音很大。在中等负载下，它是同类设备中最吵的一台。FrostCore风扇看起来不错，不过在实际使用中几乎没有提供任何帮助。它只是给左侧掌托降低了温度。

它的其他缺点包括显卡在负载下的降频问题，一般的扬声器和屏幕漏光。它的维护升级空间也十分有限。如果Acer可以在下次的更新中解决这些问题，它也应该可以更加全面。它作为生产商在游戏本领域的首台设备在一些方面已经非常出色了，这包括坚固的机身，明亮高对比度的屏幕，非常优秀的电池续航，最新的接口和实用的工具。
