AGM A8的最大卖点在于售价：这款智能手机在网店的售价约150美元。尽管它售价低廉，却运行谷歌的最新安卓7.0操作系统，支持4G／LTE双SIM卡，和一块不错的明亮防划5寸高清屏幕，以及大容量电池。不像其他智能手机对所谓防水防尘功能的大肆宣传，AGM A8是一款能够真正带着在野外徒步或在建筑工地工作的坚固设备。

三防功能也让它不得不在其他方面作出取舍。如果用户想要更换MicroSD卡或SIM卡，需要打开它的整个后盖，这绝不算方便。同时相对较低的整体性能，较差的相机和一般般的音响效果也都是低成本所带来的遗憾。
