I’ve been using the Lenovo ThinkPad P14s Gen 4 as my main laptop for the past few weeks and I’ve really enjoyed it. One of the biggest things I was worried about was how heavy it was going to be compared to my thin and light laptop that is usually my daily driver. Being just under 3lbs it didn’t really add much extra weight or bulk to my backpack and the 100W power adapter is quite small. The best part of using a laptop like this over something like a more mainstream laptop is the added power you get. First you have the Intel Core i7-1370P vPro processor which handled everything I threw at it from normal every day things like web browsing to more intensive tasks like video editing. On top of that you do get dedicated graphics from NVIDIA’s RTX A500 laptop GPU. Having dedicated graphics takes the load off of your CPU for more GPU-intensive tasks and will speed up things like encoding or rendering.
