Despite its faults, the LG Gram 17 is still a great laptop for what it offers. The 17-inch display delivers a sizable canvas, and its performance and battery life make it perfect for everyday work. Lowering the price by $200-$300 would make this an easy recommendation. That said, you’ll be hard-pressed to find such a lightweight 17-inch notebook. If that’s important to you, then the LG Gram 17 won’t disappoint. However, if you’re looking for better performance, battery life and display quality, there are better options out there.

The $1,700 price point is on the high end, but this laptop is an engineering statement. You will not find a thinner, lighter, 17-inch laptop out there. The LG Gram Pro 17 will cost around $400 more, but it offers a more powerful processor, bigger battery, and more premium build. Just for clarity, that means it is over the $2,000 mark. For most users, however, the base model Gram 17 is a solid choice for consumers who love a big display and impressive form factor.
