The PopS3 was a 4G unit while the C1 uses 3G. Having recently looked at the Alcatel PopS3 this even smaller offering came onto my desk. Surprisingly my bigger fear was not realised. So what has this 3.5inch screen unit have to offer in the hugely over crowded SmartPhone market.

We're hard pressed to recommend the Alcatel One Touch Pop C1, even with its bargain-basement price. You can get so much more bang for your buck for just a little more cash with Motorola's Moto E. Motorola's offering gives you better hardware, the latest software updates and a sharper screen, all in a similarly slim chassis and for around £30 more. If you're after a budget phone, you really want to stretch your cash and unfortunately the Pop C1 just doesn't go that far.
