Overall, this is an improvement over the 10S Pro, not only does it include the latest Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, but it is placed at a very attractive price compared to other flagships with the same CPU. Well, it is a great-looking phone with an awesome display, and thanks to the new Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, it still remains quicker than most others with the same chipset, more than double so compared to my S23 Ultra, which is now showing its age at almost three years old. Something else we cannot dismiss is the pricing, too. Remember that the top offering 11 Pro with 24GB+1TB is $661 cheaper than the nearest S25 Ultra equivalent (12GB+1TB), and to top it off, the REDMAGIC 11 Pro has 12GB more memory too.

It’s the first I've tested running on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip, which is as fast as mobile chipsets get. Even with RedMagic’s new liquid cooling system, in conjunction with its best cooling fan yet, I remain a little dubious about sustained performance over extended periods, but there’s no doubting the RedMagic 11 Pro runs demanding games beautifully. That’s aided by the usual RedMagic flourishes like mappable gaming controls and a dedicated gaming interface, accessed through a special hardware switch. Sadly, the awkward translations, the unpolished state of the software at times, and the absence of properly good cameras keep us from giving the phone an excellent score.
