Reviews for the Lenovo Yoga Slim 7i Carbon 13 ITL
Take a ThinkPad X1 Nano, remove some features, and paint it white. Lenovo didn't do that, obviously, but the result would probably look very similar to the Lenovo Yoga Slim 7i Carbon. Lenovo's cheaper ultralight laptop can convince in our test - but with some weaknesses.

When a manufacturer aims to make a laptop ultra-slim and unreasonably light, alarm bells should sound. This combo can lead to all sorts of issues with battery life, build quality and performance. However, Lenovo has managed to dodge those with the Lenovo Yoga Slim 7i Carbon. For an Intel CPU laptop that weighs under 980g, yet lasts 9-10 hours for light work, the Slim 7i Carbon isn’t bad at all. However, there is a hit to performance over Lenovo’s less emaciated laptops with the same processor; but you’re more likely to notice the cooling fan, which sounds like it’s under strain. Stick to what the Slim 7i Carbon is made for, though – basic productivity jobs from any room in your home, or any home, in any country – and you’ll barely hear it at all. Note that I wouldn’t recommend the Lenovo Yoga Slim 7i Carbon if you’ll spend all day typing, though. While the keyboard is good for a slim-line 1mm-action design, it’s still wafer-thin by Lenovo standards.

Fortunately, fast charging with the 65W adapter is supported. This delivered a boost from 32% to 71% during a 45-minute charge. Still, for all its portability, this probably isn't the laptop to pick if you need all-day usage away from a mains power source. Although it lacks a fingerprint sensor and offers mediocre battery life in its Core i7/16GB configuration, Lenovo's Yoga Slim 7i Carbon is a serviceable, lightweight and distinctive-looking 13-inch laptop.

An ultraportable mid-range laptop that looks like it should cost a lot more than it does, the Lenovo Yoga Slim 7 Carbon is about the size of a notepad and it’s seriously lightweight. The battery life is average and while it doesn’t have all of the bells and whistles you get from a more pricey PC, for most everyday tasks it goes above and beyond what you'd expect at this price.

Lenovo Yoga Slim 7i Carbon is a modern-age laptop that offers power and style in a slim package. The laptop is lightweight and offers a lot of innovative specifications, giving a tough competition to other laptops in the same price segment.

The Lenovo Yoga Slim 7 Carbon is a looker, and while not budget-friendly, can handle demanding tasks with ease. It is well-built, performs without hiccups, and has a good battery life – making it a suitable partner for productivity on-the-go. The device suffers from a lack of ports, a consequence of its slim profile. As a result, its reliance on dongles ultimately defeats the purpose for which it was built.
