EN→zh-CN Archive.org versionIn terms of looks, the Asus MeMO Pad 8 is plain and unprepossessing. The rounded corners and Asus branding on the front are not a surprise. The long edge screen bezel is pleasantly narrow, so that the 8in screen fits into a reasonably small chassis at just 125mm wide and 212mm tall. It might just fit into some pockets.

EN→zh-CN Archive.org versionThe Asus Memo Pad ME181C is right now the 8 inch tablet to get if you don't have more than $200 to spend. For that kind of money it offers a nicely built body, a good IPS screen, fast hardware and Android 4.4 KitKat and about 7 hours of daily use on a charge. Too bad the performance is still a bit glitchy, despite the fast Intel platform inside.

EN→zh-CN Archive.org versionThe Asus MeMO Pad 8 ME181C tablet offers solid performance and a reasonably low price tag. While it doesn’t have a full HD display or a high quality camera, I don’t think either of those things are must-have features for an 8 inch tablet that sells for under $200.

EN→zh-CN Archive.org versionThe ASUS MeMO Pad 8 ME181C provides superb performance for an 8-inch budget tablet, but commands $20 more than its lesser-performing competitors. We believe it's worth it for the extra oomph and battery life. The MeMO Pad 8 also costs $50 dollars more than its 7-inch sibling, but offers the same 1.33-GHz Intel Atom processor, 1GB of RAM and 16 GB of flash memory.

EN→zh-CN Archive.org versionThe ME181C is a great affordable option in the in-between 8-inch realm, but if you can deal with less screen real estate, the Google Nexus 7 is a superior option, thanks to the latter's full HD display and pure Android software.
