The Acer Swift 3 isn't a hugely inspiring laptop. Its performance and battery life are both passable but not amazing, and the display is disappointing. However, the Swift 3 makes up for this with an excellent keyboard and an appealingly-designed chassis that feels like it comes from a much more expensive machine.

The Acer Swift 3 is a near-perfect laptop for those who want an ultraportable, but don’t want to fork out £1000+. Build quality is great, battery life very good, and performance a match for much more expensive laptops. There are just two areas where the low price shows. First, it's a little thicker and heavier than some ultrabooks. It looks good enough, but limited maximum brightness and fairly poor colour reproduction limits its usefulness in certain situations.

It captures a lot of the old S 13’s spirit, only in a new all-metal body plus a few bells and whistles. The way I see it, the only issue with purchasing one would be that the Swift 3 only comes in one configuration, so if you want, say 8GB of memory, you can’t buy a higher spec. Otherwise, this is a pretty solid laptop.
