Reviews for the Samsung Galaxy M12
The Samsung Galaxy M12 is affordable, looks good, and has a large battery. However, we also discovered issues in our test like the Wi-Fi speed, for example. Is the Galaxy smartphone worth buying anyway?

EN→zh-CN Archive.org versionOverall the Samsung Galaxy M12 struggles to catch up with heavy triple-A games unlike other smartphones with the price range equipped with gaming chipsets and with higher GPU frequencies. But if we are talking about efficiency, responsiveness, and sturdiness Galaxy M12 will suffice. It’s pretty impressive that within the price of P7,490 (4GB/64GB), it gave us an 8nm power efficiency chipset on a 720p screen which really shows a good battery score. It also has a nice camera setup, and a Core UI capable of browsing through the entire UI and social media needs easily. This isn’t the most beautiful phone I’ve ever seen and it has a thicker body but you may enjoy the user experience inside the device.

EN→zh-CN Archive.org versionThe Galaxy M12 took me by surprise, as you probably already surmised after reading the title of this review. The display’s quality is rather mediocre, but the 90Hz refresh rate works well most of the time and makes for smooth animations and scrolling.

EN→zh-CN Archive.org versionThe Galaxy M12 banks on its fast 90Hz refresh screen and massive 6,000mAh battery to make its mark in the budget segment. The other aspects of the phone are less impressive. Thankfully the phone ships with Android 11 out of the box and has a UI that has become quite clean over the years. The phone could have used an FHD+ resolution panel and a punch hole instead of the dated waterdrop notch. Apart from that, the Galaxy M12 is a reasonable buy, not just for users invested in Samsung devices over the years but for anyone looking to purchase an easy-to-use, no-frills budget smartphone with a clean UI.
