EN→zh-CN Archive.org versionThe Redmi Note 8T finds room in the budget to include NFC, at the cost of storage and CPU power. Or if you prefer your flavour of Android a little more stock, the Moto G8 Plus can be had for only a little more.

EN→zh-CN Archive.org versionUpon reflection, the 5 Pro is pushing the boundary of what is acceptable for a device of its price level. There wasn’t really a moment I had using it (besides the lack of brand recognition), that I thought was emblematic of its cost. Even the design, its most perfunctory aspect, has a distinguishing feature that grew on me the more I saw it.

EN→zh-CN Archive.org versionThe realme 5 Pro, then, is one that continues the brand’s tradition of being one of the best in its price bracket. It comes with ample RAM and storage space, and a chipset that will not dissapoint you under most use circumstances. Battery life is as impressive as ever, if a little less consistent this time round. And with the realme 5 Pro, you’re getting four rear cameras as well.

EN→zh-CN Archive.org versionRealme 5 pro like other Realme smartphones come under the popular Oppo company. This phone comes with extra-ordinary features that have attracted many users. These phones with advanced camera options and compatible software makes it highly desirable to be bought. The price this phone demands is seen as not very expensive, as this cost is pocket friendly when it comes to such amazing features in a single phone. Realme has proved to be a brand that can be affordable by all as it has many handsets that range from very economical to a handsome amount. Not many people spend large sums of money on smartphones and Oppo in the shape of Realme sets have provided these people with a solution.

EN→zh-CN Archive.org versionDespite the macro lens needing a bit more improvement, the realme 5 Pro offers an ideal blend of stable gaming experience, great battery life, VOCC 3.0 fast charging support, impressive camera, a decent amount of storage and a premium look. Considering the price, this is a great deal.

EN→zh-CN Archive.org versionRealme really went all out with their new phone. The Realme 5 Pro’s quad-cameras delivers the goods, producing excellent images in challenging situations that other, more expensive phones consistently fail at. Aside from having great cameras, the Realme 5 Pro is also a solid budget gaming powerhouse thanks to the processor and RAM bump, as well as Realme’s own set of software-related tweaks. The Realme 5 Pro is priced at Php 11,990 for the 4GB/128GB variant and Php 13,990 for the 8GB/128GB variant. Pre-order starts today until October 11, and each pre-order comes with a Realme 10000mAh power bank.

EN→zh-CN Archive.org versionAll in, the realme 5 Pro is a worthy upgrade over its predecessor as it retains the renowned battery life of the realme 3 Pro while offering improved hardware, a better quad camera and splash-proofing too. At RM1,099, the realme 5 Pro represents superb value and has a price-to-performance ratio that is hard to match. More general users on a budget will likely appreciate the realme 5 that also has splash-proofing and a larger battery too at a lower price tag.

EN→zh-CN Archive.org versionThe Realme 5 Pro starts at PHP 11,990 for the 4GB RAM + 128GB internal storage variant, and PHP 13,990 for the 8GB RAM + 128GB internal storage variant, making it one of the most affordable Snapdragon 712-powered smartphone in the market. Those upgrading from the Realme 3 Pro will like the improved cameras, revamped design, larger RAM, faster storage, and USB Type-C. The performance may not have improved that much, but the Realme 5 Pro is still a strong successor and a strong candidate for those looking for a capable yet budget-friendly mid-range smartphone.

EN→zh-CN Archive.org versionThe price of the realme 5 Pro is just too good. The realme 5 Pro is pretty much a logical iterative upgrade over its predecessor. More cameras, stronger processor, and a new fancy back design - but a fantastic buy for those who want to upgrade to a smartphone with great performance at a low price.

EN→zh-CN Archive.org versionThe Realme 5 Pro comes with significant upgrades compared to its predecessor, making it a very strong contender in the budget mid-range segment. Based on its price in India, the Realme 5 Pro might have a sub-Php 14k price, making it go against the likes of the vivo S1, OPPO A9 (2020), and Xiaomi Mi 9T.

EN→zh-CN Archive.org versionRealme 5 Pro is an all-round smartphone that looks really impressive in front of competition like the Mi A3, Vivo Z1 Pro and Galaxy M30. That being said, if you're looking for a stock or clean Android software, you may want to consider the Mi A3 and Galaxy M30, and if battery life is your top priority then the Z1 Pro is your best bet.

EN→zh-CN Archive.org versionRealme’s approach to the 5 Pro is muddy: It’s a budget smartphone with good build quality, good cameras, a good screen, and good performance, all of which are on par with competition. However, the questionable audio quality, poor software experience, and underwhelming battery-life add up to take a significant hit to my recommendation of the Realme 5 Pro.

EN→zh-CN Archive.org versionAt Rs 13,999 (for the base model with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage), the Realme 5 Pro makes a complete package that thrills with its all-round performance. The phone’s plastic body might seem unimpressive to some, but that might be the only weak point; it could be overlooked considering the value that the phone offers at its price.

EN→zh-CN Archive.org versionAt this price point, you can pick the Realme 5 Pro and you won’t be disappointed. Phone by phone, Realme is simply targeting to give a viable alternative to those who want to look beyond Xiaomi phones. The Realme 5 is another step in that direction as it is a phone that offers quite a lot (not all of it is great) at the price it comes for. It does the balancing act of packing it with a lot of features and offering at a competitive price.

EN→zh-CN Archive.org versionThe Realme 5 Pro is definitely a no-brainer for the best value-for-money proposition in the mid-range price segment right now. It has a capable processor, offers a good software experience and the quad-camera setup thrown in is just a cherry on the top. The Realme 5 Pro is a wholesome package which makes its mark in a very crowded smartphone market. I would recommend going for the 6 GB RAM + 64 GB storage variant, which in my opinion should be good enough for the average consumer since 8 GB RAM can be a bit excessive and unnecessary. The option of a microSD card expansion also negates the need to buy a variant with higher storage.

EN→zh-CN Archive.org versionObviously the Realme 5 Pro is without any competition in the markets it's available in. It is an amazing offer with a great screen, powerful hardware, and one very capable versatile camera. The battery life turned out excellent as well. If you are lucky enough to have Realme phones available where you reside, there is hardly a better phone for this amount of money. Until another Realme dethrones this one, that is.

EN→zh-CN Archive.org versionRealme added a new chapter to its rivalry with Redmi with the launch of the Realme 5 Pro. The launch of the device was a surprise to some, coming as it did barely a few months after its predecessor, the Realme 3 Pro (in April 2019), which was targeted at the Redmi Note 7 Pro – incidentally, Realme skipped the number 4 in the series, keeping with a trend that is particularly Chinese. And unlike the Realme 3 Pro which squarely had the Note 7 Pro in its sights, the 5 Pro has a much wider target – yes, it still takes on the Note 7 Pro but also has the recently released Mi A3 and the Vivo Z1 Pro in its sights. Rather interestingly, it is also making those thinking of purchasing a Realme X just think a little.

EN→zh-CN Archive.org versionThe realme 5 Pro sets the quad-camera competition in the mid-range segment which now has to offer a lot more than the current. There’s no other smartphone at this price to come with four rear cameras other than its own tone down variant, realme 5. The performance is quite significant than its rivals like the Redmi Note 7 Pro and the Samsung Galaxy M30. The realme 5 Pro marks all the boxes and stays above the competition, if choosing a phone under Rs 15,000, the realme 5 Pro would be a great choice.

EN→zh-CN Archive.org versionThere's a lot to like about the Realme 5 Pro. The entry-level variants seem like good options and will compete strongly against the Redmi Note 7 Pro (Review), the Samsung Galaxy M30₹ 13,990 (Review), and Vivo Z1 Pro (Review). However, if your budget can stretch enough for you to consider the top-end configuration that we have reviewed, you might find the Realme X (Review) or one of our other sub-Rs. 20,000 picks more appropriate.

EN→zh-CN Archive.org versionThe Realme 5 Pro is surprisingly a little smaller than the Realme 5, but that isn't a problem for us at all since it's easier to handle. One-handed use is not very difficult, thanks mostly to the curved rear shell. Even though it looks glossy, it's not slippery at all and we never felt that this phone was in danger of falling from our grasp. The 184g weight is very manageable.

EN→zh-CN Archive.org versionThe Realme 5 and Realme 5 Pro deliver great value at cut-throat prices and it seems Realme continues to be well-geared to successfully compete with Xiaomi's Redmi phones. It's quick update cycle means it's always able to deliver great value-for-money and up to date hardawre. We'll know more about how good these two phones really are once we've completed our full reviews in the coming week or so. Stay tuned!

EN→zh-CN Archive.org versionRealme 5 Pro surely comes with an interesting design language with Diamond cut finish at the back panel. The Quad camera setup at this price range certainly add some brownies. As for the competition is concerned, at Rs starting price, it is going to compete with the likes of Redmi Note 7 Pro. Stay tuned for our detailed review.
