The LG G7+ ThinQ may be the best smartphone at the lower end of the premium segment in India. But it also packs in more features than the OnePlus 6 currently offers like the QHD+, HDR 10-enabled display, a wide angle camera, Boombox speaker and even an IP68 dust and water resistance rating. But will you buy one?

LG G7+ ThinQ is a definitely a flagship which gets one to think. The kind of features the phone packs would normally result in a higher pricing. There are lots of positives in terms of design, the display, performance, as well camera and audio quality and that it comes with water and dust-resistant is also a plus.

The answer in my opinion is yes. The LG G7+ ThinQ features an alluring design and it is comfortable to use. The phone packs some of the top hardware available in the market in a relatively affordable price of under Rs 40K. And its splendid camera quality and powerful audio output is just the icing on top of a cake.

The G7+ ThinQ is a solid offering from LG, and more importantly, it’s available at a very aggressive price. For all those who were on the fence about the OnePlus 6 due to its lack of some features such as weather resistance and wireless charging, the G7+ ThinQ is a very good alternative. LG’s offering also features a more useful secondary rear camera, expandable storage, an excellent mono speaker, and a vivid and crisp display.

LG this year may have managed to turn some heads towards its G7+ ThinQ as the smartphone’s spec-is-to-price-ratio will give some food for thought to users as well as to competition. Although the company might not be marketing its new smartphone as much as others, it surely has the ability to silently stir the market with this offering.

The LG G7+ThinQ brings HDR video, audiophile-grade hardware, IP68 rating and a body designed to withstand damage from being dropped. You get all this for a very reasonable price, and while it looks to be a very lucrative proposition, it isn’t a perfect smartphone.

The South Korean tech giant, LG recently launched the G7+ ThinQ in India and it’s the flagship smartphone from the company which is likely competing the Samsung Galaxy S9, OnePlus 6, Sony Xperia XZ2 and others. In the past couple of years, LG has been left out in the cold, but now it’s back in the game with its unique features. In this flagship war where Samsung, ASUS, HUAWEI, and even Vivo have managed to show great phones, LG is on the list too.

The G7+ is a reasonably good, but unexciting and risk-averse smartphone. It feels almost like LG has been burned one too many times trying out-of-the-box, experimental ideas, and now it's gone completely the other way and is trying to play it as safe as possible. Everything from the typical aluminum and glass design, to the notched display, and even the Boombox speaker and AI camera features are things we've seen before in other phones.
