Reviews for the Dell Precision 5540
The Precision 5530's successor, the construction of which is identical to the Dell XPS 15, offers a powerful CPU and mid-range graphics from Nvidia. While the build quality is, as usual, phenomenal, the components first have to prove themselves in our tests.

For instance, the camera position is terrible. Even the XPS 15 7590 has its own camera placed above the display. Additionally, we would make the keyboard bigger and would love to have a NumberPad section, especially on a professional tool, that is the Precision 5540.

EN→zh-CN Archive.org versionWhile the Dell Precision 5540 kills it with its performance, vivid OLED display and compact footprint, its design is still just a cut-and-paste of the XPS 15 and the battery life could be better. If you're looking for workstation at a similar price, consider picking up the MSI WS65 9TM ($3,499), which boasts stronger graphical power, a more colorful display and longer battery life. But overall, the Dell Precision 5540 is a solid workstation for those who are a fan of the XPS line.
