Screen Flickering / PWM (Pulse-Width Modulation)

To dim the screen, some notebooks will simply cycle the backlight on and off in rapid succession - a method called Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) . This cycling frequency should ideally be undetectable to the human eye. If said frequency is too low, users with sensitive eyes may experience strain or headaches or even notice the flickering altogether.

戴尔的Venue 8 Pro毫无疑问是一台优秀的平板电脑。戴尔利用英特尔Cherry Tail平台中实现的性能让人惊喜。

搭配4 GB双通道内存的配置保证了相比许多竞争对手的明显性能优势。搭配Windows 10专业版和64 GB高性能eMMC闪存，Venue 8 Pro十分适合日常工作。

它的高分辨率屏幕并不出色，尽管提供了锐利的显示和丰富的色彩，它的亮度只能算一般。平板的接口十分少，用户需要购买拓展坞。而缺少键盘底座让它无法作为变形本使用，特别是如果底座中提供第二块电池，将可以缓解它电池续航时间较短的问题。

整体上，戴尔Venue 8 Pro的整体表现优秀。正在寻找小巧而高性能的Windows平板电脑的用户可能选择不多。基于酷睿m处理器的变形本，如微软Surface Pro 4，提供了更强的性能，不过相比也更笨重（当然也相比这台仅售450美元的测试机更贵）。

我们目前最大的希望就是这台新机型可以尽快上市销售。
