Strix GL502系列是华硕对Aorus X5S的回应，售价更低，机身品质更高，同时舍弃了一些功能。实际上，很多骨灰级游戏玩家会关注的功能它都没有提供，例如NVMe，RAID 0，多内存槽，额外硬盘槽，G-Sync，RGB键盘，可编程按键和一些接口如Thunderbolt 3。与竞争对手相比之下，这台华硕设备可能会让人感觉像是个准系统，不过它的核心性能依然不俗。高品质的屏幕面板覆盖了宽广的色域，强劲的性能也让它可以成为ROG系列目前最强的15寸游戏本。较厚的GL552提供了更多的功能，例如光驱和可更换的电池，不过它搭配了相对较弱的显卡。

我们还需要等等看GL502VY机型的GTX 980M表现如何，不过这台测试机的GTX 970M已经带来了很高的运行温度。尽管相比GS60还不算太差，但它的散热系统明显不如尺寸重量相近的Aorus设备有效。目前，GL502VT的核心性能让我们十分惊喜。
