Screen Flickering / PWM (Pulse-Width Modulation)

To dim the screen, some notebooks will simply cycle the backlight on and off in rapid succession - a method called Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) . This cycling frequency should ideally be undetectable to the human eye. If said frequency is too low, users with sensitive eyes may experience strain or headaches or even notice the flickering altogether.
Screen flickering / PWM detected 1000 Hz ≤ 99 % brightness setting

The display backlight flickers at 1000 Hz (worst case, e.g., utilizing PWM) Flickering detected at a brightness setting of 99 % and below. There should be no flickering or PWM above this brightness setting.

The frequency of 1000 Hz is quite high, so most users sensitive to PWM should not notice any flickering.

In comparison: 53 % of all tested devices do not use PWM to dim the display. If PWM was detected, an average of 17933 (minimum: 5 - maximum: 3846000) Hz was measured.

和尺寸较小的PE60和PX60一样，相比已经成熟的GE62和GE72系列，PE70 Prestige需要提供比简单涂色更多的改进才行。在它目前的水平上，除非用户愿意校对屏幕或者只是喜欢灰色外观，Prestige系列似乎没有什么选择的意义。它相比较轻的机身可能会提供更好的便携性，但较暗的屏幕背光和较短的电池续航则是后退了两步。

作为多媒体笔记本，联想Y700、Acer Aspire Nitro和华硕GL771提供了安静、长续航和更多的功能选择。这些机型可能相比这台微星设备更重，但它们在其他几乎所有方面都占有优势，相比PE70 6QE更值得推荐。
