这场演出的主角将会是Pascal架构的GTX 1070显卡芯片。尽管许多生产商在为笔记本电脑搭配4K屏幕,但移动版Maxwell架构显卡仅仅能够勉强胜任在如此高的原生分辨率下流畅游戏的需要。它相比GTX 970M的巨大性能飞跃让舍弃1080p分辨率选择4K UHD搭配G-Sync成为了可行的选择。尽管我们并不确定这块更高频率屏幕的刷新率相比1080p屏幕有什么区别,我们可能会重新测试一台配置更高的GT72VR机型来补充所需的数据。可以为Pascal架构显卡搭配4K屏幕是一个确确实实的进步。

用户可能会十分轻松地发现微星为声名显赫的GT72系列所作出的一些细节调整,虽然不如Pascal显卡带来的性能优势重要,但它们也不容小视。用户需要注意的是,相比GT72S,GT72VR缺少更多的硬盘选项,缺少对Thunderbolt 3的支持,以及显卡切换功能。相对的,用户可以得到120赫兹的刷新率选项,5毫秒响应时间,硬件细节更新以及软件更新。它的系统略为有所削弱,以便为新的微星G系列机型让出空间,不过它仍然相比很多目前的竞争对手只强不弱。
